I’m here with my review of the new NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquer in the color 08 Motel Dreams.
Right off the bat, I want to say that I adore it! This is that very case when I adore everything about a product, starting with a design and finishing with that gorgeous aroma. I cheated on my love for matte textures and use this glossy babe on a daily basis ever since.

The sales rep advised me to buy this lippie along with a matchy lip liner to feel sure that my lip contour will be in place. A perfect couple, isn’t it?
Colors: the collection offers 24 different colors there! When I started swatching them, I discovered they all were dope in colors - from innocent nudes to deeply-toned vinous ones.
Design: I like it a lot. Heavy see-through hexagonal tube, glossy top cap, black lettering, all that looks so expensive and I always feel so posh holding it in my hands. Even my cat couldn't withstand it.
The back presents some product details, it’s standard.
The bottom also provides us with some product info and the name of the color.
Smell: this is something that carries me away! The formula smells of vanilla and mint! I’ve never met such an aroma of a lipstick before. I can feel it lingering on my lips for some time. I also appreciate that pleasant cooling sensation.
Applicator: this is also new from the brand. They decided to treat us with an hourglass-shaped applicator.
It turned out to be so handy - the tip of the applicator has the minimum of the product on it, while the middle has plenty of it, so it allows me to outline my lips perfectly well. The applicator is soft to some extent. It means ideal in all respects.
The stopper here is also nice, it doesn’t let the product leak and stain everything around.
Texture: it isn’t too runny, it’s moussy, airy and pleasantly gooey. The finish is dewy, not sticky and really gentle. I feel so comfortable wearing this babe on my lips.
Swatches: I applied a lip liner beforehand, then I applied a lipstick with one coat and after that added one more coat.
A build-up doesn’t show much difference because the very first layer already renders even and opaque coverage. That’s why I always wear one thin layer and only touch-up a little throughout the day.
But I’d like you to pay attention that the lipstick isn’t stated to be wear-proof, so you have to be careful with your clothes, scarves, and cheeks of beloved ones.
The product stains everything it touches. I can’t take it as a disadvantage, because all lip glosses perform so.

Finish: glossy and lacquered. It looks really luxurious! I’ve been using matte lipsticks for several years, you know, and I don’t even know what made me pay attention to this lippie. But I’m head over heels with the way my lips look with it!

Staying power: I put on the product at 7 AM for my job and could quickly touch-up my inner lip throughout the day. I was wearing it till 8 PM and you can see everything yourself. My lips are supple, soft and I’m happy! This lipstick is neither brown nor maroon but it’s so eye-catching!
I definitely R E C O M M E N D it!
I want to use it again and again, even though I’ve got a full box of different lipsticks! It’s the bomb, NYX!
