NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream lipsticks have become hits on YouTube, Instagram and make-up bags of many girls. I gathered 6 colors in my collection, from nude to dark-blue and purple ones.
All lipsticks are in great and convenient tubes, which have the same color as the lipsticks inside.
Size - 8 ml.
The products are extremely economical.
Expiry date - 18 months after opening.
All the colors have sweety scent, which disappears straight after the application. The applicator is also very convenient to work with. It takes out the sufficient amount of the product that you need.
The texture of the products is creamy, light, but they are applied on the lips differently. They dry out my lips a bit, but not very much.
They last about 5-6 hours, and also come off differently.
And now let’s look closer at each and every color.
The lightest in my collection is SMLC02 Stockholm.
It applies very patchy and defines chapped lips. In comparison with all the others, it’s the driest one. And that beige-orange color doesn’t make me look better. I wear it very seldom.
The second color that I have is SMLC01 Amsterdam.
It’s the most obedient color. More or less it applies evenly and doesn’t highlight flaky skin on the lips. It comes off evenly, leaving some pigment.
SMLC30 Seoul is the color from the renewed collection. It’s of a very beautiful purple color.
I think it's the best color in terms of “technical characteristics”. I mean it stays on my lips evenly, it doesn’t roll up, doesn’t smear, doesn't emphasize peelings and comes off very beautifully and neatly.
And now let’s have a look at the “dark side” SMLC20 Copenhagen
Wine and berry color, which will be perfect for evening make-up. It applies problematically, but if to take off all the excesses from the applicator and layer the color, you’ll get very even coverage. It won’t live up dinner, and as for drinking - you’d better be careful. After disappearing from the lips, it leaves a bit of pigment.
The most problematic, but also the most interesting color is SMLC31 Moscow.
Dark blue color, if applied evenly, it means you’ve witnessed a miracle! In the photo there are 4 thin layers, but in the center of the lips, it still lies unevenly. It is better to use a lip pencil as a primer here.
Sometimes I wear that color at home. My husband becomes shocked each time, as he doesn’t like it at all.
And the last, but by no means least, is SMLC21 Transylvania.
One more difficult color. You should layer it gradually, but still it applies better than Moscow. In the photo there are 3 thin layers. It comes off smoothly. However, it’ll be better not to eat and drink with it.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream aren’t my perfect lipsticks.
There are too many nuances in application, and there are many other more successful matte exemplars exist.
In my opinion the quality of the product directly depends on the color.
