I think that foundation is one of the most important products when it comes to make-up. Even the most beautiful lipstick or perfectly shaped brows won’t look good if you have discoloration on your face and all the imperfections are visible. It’s so difficult to find your perfect foundation. Sometimes the color doesn’t match, or texture is too odd, etc. Among a massive collection of foundations that I possess, there are a few products that I really like. So today I’d like to tell you about one of them - NYX TOTAL CONTROL DROP FOUNDATION.
Shades: The entire collection consists of 24 different shades. How great that is that? All the colors differ in undertones: yellow, pink, neutral, cool, warm, fair, pale, dark. I can say it for sure that EVERY girl will find a match there.
I’m fair-skinned, so I opted for 01 PALE shade. It flatters my skin color greatly!

Design and packaging: The small-sized bottle is made of matte glass. I love it! It’s so pleasant to the touch. There’s a dropper which I find very convenient to use. By the way, the bottle was packed in a black cardboard box with all the needed information on it.
Fragrance: I can’t say that there’s any fragrance to the product. Just a light cosmetic scent.
Texture: Very runny, like a fluid, which is obvious since the product is water based.
Application: I use a sponge to apply almost any foundation I have. But this one is an exception. Since my fingertips aren’t better to apply it with, I have left only with one option - a brush. Don’t be upset if you don’t have a special foundation brush. NYX created a brush for this product exclusively. I didn’t order it, as I have almost the same one.
How to apply?
1. With a help of a dropper, drop some product straight on your face.
2. Blend out carefully using a brush.
3. If you aren’t satisfied with the coverage you get, then add a few more drops to the places where you need it.
Finish: This foundation gives velvety matte finish. I like it very much
How many drops to apply? It’ll depend on the make-up you do (morning or evening) and your skin condition. For a daily light coverage, 2 drops are enough for my face, while for the evening make-up I use 4.
Consistency: As I’ve already stated above, the foundation is runny and lightweight, but still rich in pigment. It covers up all the blemishes nicely and isn’t felt on the skin at all. It makes my face look perfect, even without a concealer. And I have nothing bad to say about the longevity, since it stays on my face during the entire day without travelling down.
What skin types will this foundation suit well:
1. Dry skin. It may define dry patches and flaking, so be careful. Use it over a moisturizing primer.
2. Combination. My skin is combination and this foundation flatters me really well. My skin is dry in some areas, which I moisturize before this foundation use. I don’t powder my face right away, only a few hours later if I need to touch-up.

3.Oily. If you have oily skin, then you will like this product a lot! It has a velvety and matte finish you’ll be very happy with.
