I was dying to try a cushion foundation for so long. I always gravitate towards foundations with at least SPF 30 in summer.
I’ve never used a mineral foundation, so I decided to give the Physician Formula a try.
It was packed in a pretty package with a window, through which I can touch the case.
By the way, it took a lot of pampering to take it out
The packaging is knock-out.
Volume: 14 ml, which is little, but it will be enough for the entire summer for me.
Inside there is a sponge and mirror that is covered in a film.
I’ve used the sponge a few times and it was pretty handy for me. I haven’t tried it with a brush and don’t want to yet.
I opted for the Light Medium shade. It’s beige-golden and not so dark as it might look at first glance.
The foundation picks up on a single touch with a fingertip with ease. I touch it thrice to cover my whole face.
The product adapts really well for my skin tone and applies in a thin and weightless coat. It evens out my skin, but it won’t disguise all the imperfections you have.
For me, I don’t need a thick coverage for summer, so it’s not that big of a deal.
The main thing is that it doesn’t clog my pores! It’s such a huge problem to find good makeup products for combination skin. When I have this cushion foundation on my skin, I don’t feel myself made up, even though I apply a translucent powder after that.
Also, I loved that it has SPF 50. To be honest, I always use tinted powders and creams with SPF in the summertime, but they were frequently too thick and mainly waterproof, which is a bad thing for problem skin with breakouts and closed comedones.
I’m totally pleased with this foundation and will definitely recommend it for combination skin.
