Mascara smudges, concealer creases and foundation slips right off? Ring a bell?
It happens particularly often when one has oily to combination skin.
In winter I set my makeup with a powder or I can sometimes do without it, while in summer it doesn’t work this way.
After reading lots of reviews, I chose the Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray, which I’m actually going to review now.
💦Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray💦
♣ Details ♣♣ What they say ⤵ ♣
The original authority on makeup finishing sprays, Skindinavia is the definitive go-to when you want your makeup to have that ‘just-applied’ look! Clinically-proven to keep colors vibrant and make creasing concealer and faded foundation a thing of the past, consider this your barrier against makeup meltdown. Applies as a lightweight, breathable mist to set liquid and powder makeup and holds your makeup in place for up to 16 hours.
♣ Packaging ♣
The brand is much sought after by makeup artists and junkies.
You can say that the setting spray is professional by just looking at the packaging. The product comes in a pump bottle made of sturdy plastic. The design is austere, sleek and black. It’s noteworthy that the bottle is compact, fits well in my hands and doesn’t take up much room… If I were a makeup artist, I would definitely love these properties!
There is not much information on the packaging itself. On the front you can see the name ‘Skindinavia’ and that it is oil-free and paraben-free, which means that it’s non-comedogenic.
It’s really important, if you, like me, have problem skin. It breaks out literally after everything I try
♣The pump and application ♣
The bottle comes with a convenient pump dispenser that is covered by a top protecting the product from tampering.
I was carrying this bottle around in my purse a couple of times, because I had a long day ahead and wanted to refresh my look anytime and it didn’t flow.
At the beginning I thought that if I pressed the dispenser, it would douse me like a garden hose and all my efforts would be in vain… but I was wrong, the spraying is just perfect! It wraps my face like a mist with the finest water droplets that absorb in just a blink without leaving any stains or flowing streaks
The spray has a nice and refreshing scent. The consistency is watery. It neither tightens nor burns my skin. I haven’t noticed any stickiness, although some reviewers mention it. More than that, it doesn’t leave any film on my skin either… Well, it feels absolutely undetectable ♣ Ingredients⤵ ♣

♣ My experience with the product ♣
◾️ ◽️ ◼️ To set my makeup ◾️ ◽️ ◼️
At first let’s talk about the main task of the spray that is setting makeup. I start my makeup somewhere about 8 a.m. and remove it at 8 or 9 p.m, so it’s not 16 hours, but 12 at least! As a rule my foundation melted away towards evening revealing all of my skin issues. The concealer creased, plus no blush or highlighter was left. Is there any difference when I use the setting spray vs when I do not?
A huge one! The spray sets makeup so well, that the foundation lasts all day and the oily sheen doesn’t appear longer. Moreover it removes cakeyness and makes my skin look refreshed and somewhat alive…
I mean I don’t look made up, but very natural.
◾️ ◽️ ◼️ To intensify the eyeshadow ◾️ ◽️ ◼️
If you are a big fan of shimmer shades, then you know that they always leave fallout behind. Also, there is sometimes an issue that the eyeshadow gives only shimmer and no pigment to the eyelid. This setting spray is of great help here! I put a spritz to a flat brush, pick up the eyeshadow and tap it to my eyelid. Thanks to this spray, the eyeshadow sticks to my lid so well and doesn’t fall out. It addition, it looks way brighter. Just look at the photo and compare the results!
◾️ ◽️ ◼️ Before applying a highlighter ◾️ ◽️ ◼️
I learnt about this trick from Youtube, as I watch makeup tutorials pretty often.
You might have heard such a phrase: ‘The glow visible from space.’ It’s really easy to get it actually! You just sprinkle this spray to your skin and while it’s still dewy, apply a highlighter. As a result the glow is so bright, that you can even dazzle someone
The cons: a little bit pricey, right 🙈
💦 I recommend the Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray💦
‘Too pricey for such a trifle. What’s the point?’, you might have said right now and I partially agree with you! If your skin doesn’t produce much sebum and your makeup stays put all day by itself, you don’t need any setting spray then. However, if you have oily to combination skin, you’ll love it! Moreover, it is simply a holy grail product when it comes to some big day when your makeup has to stick around from morning till late in the evening. It’s up to you, if you need it or not. Thumbs up from me. Highly recommended!
Thank you for spending this time with me. I hope my review was helpful for you!
