Metallic lipsticks are still trendy now.
So, this time I’ve decided to share my thoughts on the Matte Me Metallic lipstick from Sleek. The brand has exceeded all my expectations and brought out the glowing Distorted Dreams line given the 2017 metallic trend.
The design is classy and typical for the British cosmetic brand. The product comes in a well-known transparent tube with a black cap. Everything looks sleek and exquisite.
The applicator brush is a little bit different this time. Now it’s shorter and has more bristles.
I have it in No. 1044 Roman Cooper that was perfect for my New Year’s party.
Nothing screams ‘queen’ more than a bold lip; with our Matte Me Metallic Lip Creams, your pout is bound to put you in the spotlight. The Metallic Matte Me Smooth Lip Creams are available in a range of luminous, on trend shades for a foil-like finish, ensuring you are always bringing your makeup A-game
The lipstick gives just the perfect metallic finish with a foil effect.
It applies in a thick coat and spreads out very well literally in the first go, but it doesn’t cover my natural lip color. The lipstick can be layered and 2 coats can create a glossy finish.
You can get an eye-catching and at the same time soft overflow without looking flashy or tawdry.
The texture is nice and soft and reminds me of a whipped souffle. It accentuates the lip texture and flakey bits as any other matte lipstick.
It dries out in tracks after application. It tightens my lips a little bit and I feel that I have a lipstick on. The coverage becomes even drier after layering, so that it can even crack.
Ingredients:
Isododecane, mica, octyldodecanol, hydrogenated styrene/isoprene copolymer, stearalkonium hectorite, alcohol, dicalcium phosphate, aqua (water), pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, calcium aluminum borosilicate, synthetic fluorphlogopite, calcium sodium borosilicate, tin oxide.
You can get an awesome and sparkly golden shade when applying a thick coat. It can also be used in a daily makeup applying a thin coat. Then you get just a delicate glow on your lips.
Also, this lipstick can be used for an eye makeup. I haven’t tried it this way, but I saw a good deal of gorgeous looks with it on the Internet.
The only downside of this product is that it dries out my lips. I recommend you use a moisturizing lip balm generously before and after applying.
It wears around 5-6 hours on me and may come off from the inner side of my lips. I’m glad I’ve discovered this lipstick. It’s really multifunctional. You can create a new shade by combining it with other lipsticks.
