Hello beautiful ladies!
For me, blush is a must in any makeup look. I like wearing it as it makes my face look harmonious and totally finishes the look. And today I’m here to tell you about the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush.
I bought it in a set, so I have a mini version. It looks exactly the same as the full-sized product with only one exception: there’s no mirror in mine. The compact is circular and plastic and there’s a brand logo on the top lid. It looks simple and unbiased.
The size of my mini is 1.5g, while the full-size is 5.6g (0.2 oz)
Even though the brand is American, on the packaging they state that the product was made in China.
Texture-wise the blush is rather dry, tightly pressed and may be a little bit dusty during application.
The pigmentation and color payoff are average but I count it as a great advantage, as you’ll never stain with it or apply too much.
The blending is easy and I think any brush will manage great with the blending of this texture. The product can be layered, though it’ll never look too intense. This blush is totally matte, no satin finish or shimmer shine to it.
They promise a 12-hour staying power, I haven’t checked, though after 8-9 hours of wearing I still see the product present on my cheeks. Well, that’s great, isn’t it?
I presume that the most popular and best-selling product by the brand is the Amazonian Сlay 12-hour Вlush in the color Exposed. But I have mine in the color Thrilled.
Thrilled it’s an ash rose with beige undertones. It’s a beautiful and rather universal color. I think it’ll flatter any skin color.
This is a comparison with some other blushes that I possess in my collection:
Givenchy Le Prisme #22 Vintage Pink;
TheBalm Balm Beach;
NYX Mauve;
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in the color Thrilled;
Dior Diorblush in the shade Peechy Keen 553.
I like complimenting my purple and lilac makeups with this Thrilled blush by Tarte. I think this color is just ideal for the purple shades.
My makeup here is done with the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer as a foundation and my eye makeup is done with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Eyeshadow palette.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush is a supreme blush! The hype and many rave reviews are completely justified. I think I'll buy one more mini sized blush in some other color one day. It’ll be a true pleasure for me.
