I become more and more convinced that if you want to have a good quality product, you have to pay for it. There are so many different matte lipsticks from street-end brands out there, but still, a fact is a fact - professional products, as well as those from high-end brands really stand out. And it all comes to the way the products looks and applies.
For example, the Tarte lipsticks apply on smoothly and cover my lips with an even layer on the first go. I appreciate that the formula doesn’t dry down my lips and it really conceals flakey bits and never creases. Yes, staying power might be a drawback, but I don’t care. After all, it doesn’t promise to be long-wearing, does it?
The main feature of this lipstick is hiding in its name - a Lip Paint.

Color selection- I didn’t actually have a color to choose, because I got my lippie in a Tarte set, which also had the Tarte Tartelette Tease palette, a mini of a mascara and this lipstick in the shade #FOMO.
Even though, I’m more into nude and beige-nude lipsticks, I also find this one rather interesting.
A full-coverage, vegan liquid lipstick with a light, velvety texture and a vibrant, non-drying matte finish.
Outward appearance and aroma- The lipstick has a see-through casing. The cap with the applicator wand is sturdy and black. The sponge is convenient and of nice shape and size. Of course such lipsticks are tricky application-wise and sometimes really require a lip brush, but this sponge also works good.
The aroma is minty. It makes my lips tingle a little with a pleasant light cooling sensation.

Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint is A CREAMY MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK THAT FEATURES A MOUSSY FINISH. You have to be careful when applying it, because the formula is easy to smear. It DOESN’T SET and throughout wear it can STAIN everything that touches, hence it budges. So I’d advise you to look in the mirror from time to time. But after all, it’s uber comfortable during wear, it doesn't DRY OUT my lips at all.
What’s the most interesting about it? Guys, this lipstick leaves some TINT behind. Moreover, you can vary its pigmentation yourself. I mean, if you wear this lipstick for 30 minutes, be sure that the tint will be barely visible. But if you wear the lipstick for several hours, then your lips will look berry-colored, even when you take your makeup off. I applied this lipstick for about 10 minutes to take the shots. But you can see that the tint is already there. After washing the product off, my lips can be a tad dry, but I don’t find it troublesome, because a chapstick or a lip balm will easily cancel out this problem.
The shade of the product seems super interesting. It looks different by different light, yet still always gorgeous. In the third picture you can see the product, after me taking the lipstick off with blotting papers.
