We all want our makeup to stay put from early morning till the late evening, don’t we? Usually, I go for mattifying powders to keep my makeup in place. But recently, setting sprays started to cross my eyesight more and more often. It always felt like such sprays could never become must-haves for me, so I used to postpone the purchase as long as possible.
But actually, I got this product from the Too Faced Sex On The Peach kit.
Let’s review it today!
Too Faced Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray
Product info:
Size: 30 ml (I have travel-friendly packaging. But there’s also a 120ml tube available)
Price: $16 for 30ml and #32 for 120 ml of the product.
What it is: A refreshing, oil-controlling setting spray to keep makeup in place.

Design:
My product came as a part of a kit, so it didn’t have any additional packaging or anything. As for the tube, it’s rather thin and long but still ergonomic in my hands.

The main colors of the collection are white, pink and peach, Too Faced style as it is. I adore it! All the branded products always look cute!

It closes well with a top cap which has a nice sticker on it:

Under the cup, there’s a golden-rose spray which works fine too. In a word, the outer appearance of the product is expensive and worth 5 stars.

Product characteristics:
the mist looks like water. However, if I spray it too close to my skin, I can see some filming and foaming substance.
As for the texture, it’s also water-like which dries down to a matte and silky finish. It feels like the formula is infused with powder.
The aroma is pleasant and peach-powder. After application, it fades away in approximately 10 minutes.

Ingredients:
Too Faced Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray
Application:
The mist is to refresh the skin and keep makeup in place. I mean you can use it just to refresh your face from time to time if you suffer from excess oil. Yet for me, the most important thing about it is makeup setting.
Before application, you are to shake the tube vigorously and then spray it about 8 inches away from your face. Usually, 3 pump presses are enough for my skin. However, the product comes out so richly that I sometimes have to let it sink for some time even though I follow the instructed 8 inches away from my face.
That’s interesting but I haven’t found any info on how long the mist is to set my makeup and keep the oily sheen at bay. As for me, I just use it when I feel like I need it.

My impressions of use:
The product nicely refreshes my skin. You know, I'm a facial spray junkie and I especially love thermal waters. But here, I expected delicate water, after all, we are to apply it all over our makeup. In life, the product comes out too actively and sits too much on my skin. Sometimes I even have to spray it from further distances and that doesn’t seem to be helpful either. All that I have to do is to let it sink in. It’s noteworthy, the mist affects my makeup, if I use it several times a day. I mean my powder and foundation smudge a little and then the finish is far from being beautiful or smooth.
The product does really mattify my skin. Huge respect to it from my combo skin type. After setting, my skin feels silky smooth and matte, like I’ve set it with a powder. It feels pleasant and not only smooth but oil-free too. I’d also like to say that my skin isn’t dry or tugged after use. Of course, blotting papers can also work wonders on my skin but I love the results of this mist too. My face is never dead matte with it yet still glowing. So, even if you don’t put on any makeup, you can still try this mist and refresh your skin and mattify it.
First of all, this is the main aim of it for me. For me, a setting spray is a product that will keep my makeup in place from morning till the very evening. No matter how many times I use this mist, my makeup still doesn’t appear fresh, aka just-applied in the evening. I mean, if I want to visit a party after my job, I’ll still have to reapply all my makeup. It’ll never look fresh, no matter the peach mist. Okay, then.
No allergic or any reactions were noticed from my skin.
I want to show you my makeup within 8 hours with this setting mist. I used that foundation for the first time there and it performed awfully. It oxidized towards the evening and looked shiny. As you can see on top, I’ve got my makeup in the morning and lower, within 8 hours of wearing it. I conclude the mist does nothing to me at all.

Overall thoughts:
I can’t get what this Too Faced Peach Mist is for. I mean it kinda refreshes my skin but it’s still better to go for thermal water instead. It mattifies my skin yet I’m more into blotting papers which will soak in all the unwanted oily sheen. After all, I want to get rid of oily shine, not just dry it out with this mist. As for makeup setting, too weak here. I can’t see any significant difference with or without it. By the evening, my makeup doesn’t look fresh no matter the mist.
