Hello! I have a palette which hasn’t been so hyped as others and I really wonder why.
I love neutral eyeshadows, even though they might not be so trendy right now.
In fact, these are basic shades, though it’s still subjective.
During winter sales, I paid attention to this cutie from UD and while I was thinking if I was ready to splurge, it became discounted. It was impossible to beat it!
My mini collection of the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes:

The hero of my review:
KRISTEN LEANNE DAYDREAM PALETTE
They say:
This is what makeup dreams are made of. The UD x Kristen Leanne collection from Urban Decay epitomises everything UD loves about KL, from her passion for makeup to her whimsical vibe.
Kristen embodies the UD spirit inside and out — from her colourful hair and killer tattoos to her super-authentic, down-to-earth personality. A UD junkie and a big advocate of self-expression, she also has a distinct point of view.
When she’s not dropping amazing rainbow makeup tutorials, Kristen creates the dreamiest neutral eye looks. Loaded with five new shades, the limited-edition Urban Decay X Kristen Leanne Daydream Eyeshadow Palette is her go-to for matte perfection. Plus, every shade has a velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability.
Three fast facts about Kristen Leanne: COLOUR JUNKIE. FREE SPIRIT. OVER-SHARER. UD tapped into Kristen’s amazing makeup talent and discovered what inspires her. They bounced colour ideas back and forth until her perfect makeup collection was formed.
Price: $26. But I bought it discounted.

The first impression was deceitful and inside the cover, there was this gentle and romantic design waiting for me:

It loses a little bit in comparison with the mini Naked.

Inside you’ll find this beauty. Floral design and a rather nice in a quality mirror:

It says “Stay Gold." Okay!

The palette offers an excellent brush which is my favorite:

It’s flat at one end and it picks up eyeshadows well, the other side is fluffy and apt for blending:

It offers 5 almost nude shades. They’re all matte.

ATTENTION! The swatches were applied over my nude and clean skin. At first with my fingertip, then with a brush.

Lucy (ivory matte)- off-white matte shade. It’s great for my eyebrow bone or for blending as well as a base. It isn’t chalky in consistency.

It applies well even alone and somehow almost covers up my small veins:

Daydream (soft nude matte)- it’s really soft and pleasant to the touch. A good quality matte warm-toned shade:

Here I wear it solo with the Lucy shade on my brow bone:

I adorned it with the cream Armani eyeshadows in the shade #11:

12/12 (soft peach matte) - truly soft peach shade when blended. If I pack it, the color payoff is vibrant and accenting:

The second part of the palette offers Subscribe (warm nude matte) and Eight (rich warm brown matte) shades:

Subscribe (warm nude matte)- warm brown matte shade. It’s soft and easy to blend out.

Subscribe is the main here, Daydream is for transition and Lucy on my brow bone:

Eight (rich warm brown matte)- this is my favorite shade. Brown and vinous undertones.
It’s the most complicated hue from the palette. Be careful applying it.

I think it’s great to accent my eye color:

A small digression:
When I started using this palette, I couldn’t make out what it actually reminded me of. And then I found out. It rings the bell with the shade Urban Decay Born To Run:

Overall:
I love these eyeshadows. They are soft and the color payoff is insane. The blending is fuss-free and the most important thing is that I can wear them without a primer. All the makeups above were applied without a primer and stayed on during the entire day. I think in summer, it would worth a try using a primer but currently, it’s not so hot.
I’ve already mentioned the resemblance with another palette from UD but the hero of my review is better in quality. I read that UD launched their new formula and I guess they used it here.
There’s only one flaw for me. The products fall out when I apply them but that’s not a problem, even ABH eyeshadows fall out and that’s nothing.

Yes, I do have almost the same shades in my collection but I still reach for this palette a lot. You can even spot those small dents in the refills now.

I also love wearing the Armani eyeshadows over these products.

Just matte shades (the cream #11 from Armani is on the right):

And this is what they look like paired with the cream and the similar shades:

In a word, even though the palette is nude, you can still play with it.
I love the quality of the shades here and these are much better than my other palettes from the brand.
The matte colors are way softer here.
I know that the fall out aspect spooks many of you but for me, it’s just a small drawback.
I will recommend this palette for purchasing. It’s easy to work with plus, the staying power is on fleek even without a primer. But if your eyelids are oily, I would recommend you use a primer.
And yeah, it’s better to buy it on sale because the full price of $26 is still pricey for those small refills.
My rate: 9 out of 10.
I hope that you found my review informative!
Stay tuned!
See ya!
