Hello!
I adore highlighters! And of course I can’t walk away if I see a great and affordable highlighter product. And one of these highlighters that I couldn’t go by was the Wet'n'Wild "Color Icon" in the color Reserve Your Cabana.
It is usually compared with the famous highlighter by theBalm MaryLou Manizer. I was dreaming to buy this MaryLou highlighter but since its price tag was too high for me, I decided to buy its cheaper dupe by Wet'n'Wild.
Price: $4
Size: 13g (0.46 oz)
PACKAGING
The product looks rather usual for a highlighter product. It’s packed in a plastic compact. I can’t say that it’s of good quality as the lettering has already disappeared though the compact is sound.
The new product was sealed with a protecting sticker which was a disaster to remove and all in all it still left a sticky residue.
By the way, the compact won’t protect the product from damages if you accidentally drop it on the floor or shake it, so be careful with it.
The texture is super soft and gentle. It’s a powder pressed product of fine grain that is a little bit dusty during application.
SPENDING
I use this product almost everyday and there’s already a small dent in the pan. I don’t use it everyday as I want to give my other highlighters a go too, but if I do, I always take it with a blush brush in the same place in the middle.
COLOR
It’s a very beautiful color of cream and butter.
RESULT
This highlighter gives a very beautiful delicate glow that is so flattering for any daily makeup. I always apply it to the high points of my face like: cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s bow, forehead and chin dimple. Sometimes I add a little bit of the product to the inner corner of my eyes.
And here’s the result.
The product is fine. It’s affordable and great. Do you still avoid such products as highlighters in your makeup? Are you still afraid that it’ll be visible from the ISS in orbit? Then give the Wet'n'Wild Color Icon Collection Bronzer SPF 15, Reserve Your Cabana a go and you’ll see that all your fears were in vain!
Thanks for reading my review!
Yours faithfully,
Kate!
