This review will be about the
Wet n wild Color Icon Eye Shadow Palette in №3951 the naked truth.
The palette has a simple plastic package with a see-through lid, which closes a bit too tightly. It’s rather an advantage for me, I can throw the palette in my bag without worrying that it might open up.
The refills are well fastened. There is also a sponge and a brush in the kit. The brush is a total disaster as it’s almost impossible to use - it’s too tough and prickly.
The sponge is okay, but I prefer to use my own brushes or even fingers.
Product details:
Oh yes, this is just what you think it is: five amazing shades in one convenient package for an unbeatable price! Each eyeshadow palette features five distinct shades that can be mixed-and-matched to create a unique look for every style. From matte to ultra-shimmer, these long-lasting, high-pigmented formulas contain a jet-milled base and silicone technology for satiny-smooth, crease-resistant wear. Enriched with macadamia oil, each shadow provides continuous moisture that improves the appearance of the delicate eye area.
Hues and formulas. For your convenience, I have enumerated all the colors.
I have applied the hues with and without an eyeshadow base. The photo was taken in daylight.Sorry about the scratch - I’ve gotten a kitten
1. Browbone
Light gray with tiny shimmers. It looks better with an eyeshadow base rather than on bare skin. Its formula is very pleasant, soft and even a bit loose. I use it as a base color in my eye makeup. Really blendable, can be blended into a weightless mist.
2. Base.
Light beige, almost matte. I say ‘almost' because it contains tiny shimmer particles. The formula is soft, even a bit chalky. Looks almost sheer on the eyelid. Can be used as a base for other shades.
3. Eyelid.
Taupe and shimmery. Silky and pleasant to the touch, really beautiful and can be used to darken the crease in a light day makeup as well as a base color. Blendable and can be combined with any color. .
4. Definer.
The darkest hue in the palette, a rich brown. Highly pigmented, with barely visible shimmer. Silky and soft to the touch. Can be used for the outer corner of the eye as well as for drawing cat eye makeups.
5. Crease.
Brown with golden glitters, poor pay off, it’s better to apply it over an eyeshadow base. Has the worst pigmentation and durability, however it has a soft consistency.
All the hues may be chalky, but that is not critical. The shades 1 and 5 may fall out. But I don’t know eyeshadows which don’t. Even the Urban Decay eyeshadows may fall out.
The eyeshadows are combinable and blendable, and create no mess on the eyelids, when mixed together.

The eyeshadows last approximately 4 hours (without base). Then they start to fade. With a base, they stay put throughout the day without rolling off.
I’m totally satisfied with this palette and I use it every day!
