I want to start off saying that this babe is actually a liquid highlighter. It’s got a see-through glass tube with a soft felt-tipped applicator. The applicator looks like a regular one from a lip gloss but this one is definitely bigger. I find it handy to use for my face makeup.

The product is nice to apply and blend out with a brush as well as with my fingers, using no additional tools. The color payoff can be easily controlled; either delicate and inner glow or visible shine:

For a better and more glowing color payoff, one will have to apply more product as well as dab it into the skin with patting motions. The glow will be dewy in the finish and really visible.
It’s noteworthy that the skin texture accentuating aspect is very important when it comes to highlighters. At first, I want to say that this aspect actually made me opt for a liquid highlighter, rather than powder one, which accentuates skin texture more.

The Hello Halo highlighter doesn’t make my skin texture stand out. It looks exactly the same as before application. However, it’s fair to notice that if your skin is smooth and even, this product will still look better over your skin rather than over mine, which is porous.
But still, there are some unpleasant things to say about this product:
the product can travel down over the skin. It doesn’t set and that dewy finish may make you look messy and tired (even though it’s more for a refreshed look). But if your skin is normal or dry, it’ll be a perfect option for you.
Under artificial light, I can see those chunky shimmers of the product, which are invisible under natural lights:

In the picture, you can see some shimmering particles on my forehead. But in real life they are detectable all over my face.

The result won’t be be appreciated by everyone, though. I can fit in all those chunky shimmering particles into my evening makeup but I can’t stand them if I wear this highlighter during the day.
Staying power and removal
Unlike some other products from the Hello Halo collection, this highlighter doesn’t set, which means it isn’t transfer-proof and stains my hands and clothes all the time. But the staying power is up till the end of the day. My cleansing oil or micellar water remove it well.
My impressions of use
I think that this highlighter is a more party or special occasion option. For day-to-day wear, I prefer more delicate highlighters.
But I’m absolutely raving that this highlighter doesn’t accentuate my skin texture. It doesn’t make it appear worse, just shows it as it was before application.
I appreciate that I can vary the color payoff. I can easily create a sparkling and bright makeup look with it. Delicate glow isn’t always enough.
