For some time I was looking at this highlighter in stores. I had seen it on Instagram where a lot of beauty bloggers used it. At once I was blown away with this little star.
Later, I somehow forgot about it, until one day I saw it discounted in a kit in a beauty shop.
It was destined to be mine and I bought it without any thinking.
The set also included pigments, two brushes (eyeshadow and highlighter) and the hero of my review as it is.
I bought it at 50% off, while now the highlighter only costs $4.99 on the official site.
The brand doesn’t test on animals.
The Gold Bar is actually a plastic compact with a see-through top.
It has a sticker, which ensures a safe first opening.
The packaging looks cheap, that’s obvious. The top doesn’t stand and it closes/opens with a click.
If you press it a little, you’ll immediately hear how creaky it is. And one more thing; at first I couldn’t understand why the packaging was so rattling in my hands. I was so surprised to know the answer. It was a mirror from one of the sides!
It was all due to it! In a word, the packaging isn’t the best in the world.
The back of it has the list of ingredients.
The highlighter is made basically of mica, like the Becca products, btw.
Well, I can see the reason behind the see-through top cap. Guys, it’s a crime to hide all this beauty!
The design of the Gold Bar is fantastic!
It seems to be so simple yet beautiful at the same time! Look at this star!
It appears impressive and so unique. After all, I could never pass by it (look at my nickname)!
The main part of the refill is filled with the light gilded color.
While the star here is gold and pink. I think that it might be too yellow for you if your skin is too pale. You can also mix all the colors and wear three different options. Here are the three swatches.
The pigmentation of them three is on fleek!
The product doesn’t fall out or crumble. And yeah, its formula is unscented. It looks stunning. The product doesn’t show off my skin texture and it only fills it with such a beautiful, a tad “dewy” glow.
Well, the grain isn’t the finest in the world but still, you won’t find any chunky bits there!
The product is magnificent in all the respects!
You can apply it over your Cupid’s bow, bridge of the nose, inner corners of the eyes and over your brow bone.
And of course, above your cheekbones!
I was stunned to discover its staying power, given that the price is so affordable. It can stay put for 7-9 hours on my skin, though, I always pair it with the Laura Geller highlighter.
Yet still, the result is fantastic! I adore how it looks in selfies! Look at this glowing finish!
In the end, I can say that I can highly recommend this Wet n Wild Highlighting Gold Bar.
It’s my precious!
Thanks a million for your attention! ❤️
