Pros: amazing shade, beautiful color, design, it looks noble on my lips, smooth application, thick coverage, unusual shade
Cons: it’s a little bit drying without a primer

Matte lipsticks have already become classy and are out of fashion.

That’s why YSL came up with the new collection Rouge Pur Couture The Slim in 16 shades. I have it in the classy red shade #21 Rouge Paradoxe.

Leather products inspired the designer, who is also the creative director of the brand, for this formula.

Design:

The YSL design is always posh. In my book, this is one of the most beautiful designs ever.

The tube is black and golden.

The branded lettering runs through the black casing of the lippie.

Stick:

The stick here is absolutely unusual - it’s finger -pointed and square.

The sharp tip is for beautiful outlining of the Cupid’s Bow, as well as the lip edges.

Following their technique, my lips come out too shaped, while I prefer softer lines and blended edges.

Aroma:

The scent here reminds me of some old lipsticks, which our mothers and grannies used to have when they were young.

Texture:

The product applies gently on my lips but still, it feels a little bit dry. It accentuates flaking skin, so make sure that your lips are ready for this.

The color payoff is decent and one coat already shows off a good and smooth coverage.

The lipstick is matte and I adore the way it appears on my lips.

Longevity:

This lippie doesn’t set to a matte finish, it leaves stains everywhere. You’ll have to touch-up after a meal.

At first, it does dry out my lips a little but it’s more than just comfortable to wear throughout the day.

Application and color:

At first, I outline my lips with a contour lip pencil and then fill my lips in with this lippie. There aren’t any other possible ways for me to apply it neatly. The color is classy red, though there’s also a hint of barely visible cherry color as well. Cool tone.

I can’t say that this product is worth of the money it costs. Such formulas can be found among street brands too. But if you’re into high-end luxury and beautiful design, then it’ll be a perfect option for you.

P.S I take off one star for the drying lips. If I wear it for several hours in a row, I want to apply a lip balm as quickly as possible.
