Recently I decided to add a serum to my skincare routine, and my choice fell on the Clarins Hydra Essentiel Bi-Phase serum. I also purchased the moisturizer from the same line. As a person who doesn’t know a lot about cosmetic ingredients and their impact, I didn’t want my skincare products to counteract each other. Without a second thought, I bought the whole range.
My skin is combination, prone to face shine in the T-Zone, with occasional pimples and breakouts, that mostly appear because of wrong skincare products.
Let’s turn to the serum now. It comes in a see-through bottle, which allows us to see its bi-phase nature.
On the packaging we can find the directions of use.

The packaging states that the serum should be shaken before application. It’s a kind of SPA-Ritual for me now.
The only minus I found is the runny formula. The dispenser spits it out sometimes so be careful.
The serum claims to contain Kalanchoe Pinnata Leaf Extract. My skin feels hydrated and nourished after the application. The serum doesn’t cause new breakouts. I use it along with the Hydra Essentiel Cream and they give enough moisture for the winter season.
My skin feels comfortable with this. 4 stars because of the runny formula you have to get used to.
