Pros: a good moisturiser, a little goes a long way, beautiful and healthy-looking skin, can be used as a makeup base, removes dry skin
Cons: the smell is not for everybody's liking

Hello everyone! Smile

Today I’d like to share with you my experience with the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator.

Some time ago I wrote about the gel-cream of this brand that was a flop for dry skin, but this product is different.

I was planning on writing this review a month ago and giving it 3 stars, but after a while I could evaluate this cream properly.

General information about the product.

1. Price: $39 for 50 ml and $52.50 for 75 ml.

Country: England

I have a mini version with 15 ml, which I got from a beauty box.

Use within 24 months after opening.

2. Packaging. The product comes in a glass jar with a glossy screw cap and a protective lid. All the necessary information you can find on the paper package.

It has 15 ml of the product. My option doesn’t differ from the full-size version.

3. The texture is lightweight and gel-creamy.

It spreads out very well on my skin and has a white color. The smell is not really nice.

5. Skin types: 1,2, which means that it suits dry/extremely dry skin and combination skin prone to dryness.

6. From the manufacturer:

Rich, oil-free cream-gel plumps skin with 24-hour hydration. Instantly rehydrates. Helps repair skin's moisture barrier over time.

7. You can use it day and night as a daily cream.

My experience with the product and my results.

About me: I’m 29 y.o. and have dry, dehydrated skin with dry patches in winter, plus fine lines. In summer I have a normal skin type.

The jar has been untouched for quite a long time. In winter I have dry skin that requires moisture. Here, the manufacturer promises us that it will instantly re-hydrate our skin. Plus, the result is supposed to last 24 hours. So, it’s exactly what I need at this time of the year. The cream positively impressed me after the first use when compared to its fellow products. Also, I liked that it goes quite far.

Application. The consistency is lightweight and nice to use. It reminds me more of a cream than gel. It applies very easily but it doesn't absorb quickly. However, it depends on your skin condition.

For example, after winter holidays at my grandma's down in the country, I came back home with my skin looking like a disaster. My skin was all over dry and this cream was absorbing in a few seconds. It seems that I lacked moisture badly at that time.

This product doesn't soak in so quickly when you use various masks and serums regularly.

What are the results? The cream performs very well against dry skin. I got rid of dry patches just in a few days. My skin feels really hydrated. As a result it neither leaves any sticky film nor feels mask-like.

My skin is soft, smooth and hydrated after use. The cream goes well with foundations and doesn’t emphasize dry patches.

I use the winter foundation of the same brand, which is quite thick and long-lasting, but it can emphasize all the imperfections of dry skin. However, I don’t have these issues when used with the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator.

What season is it good for? This cream suits girls with dry and dehydrated skin to intensely moisturize it in winter.

I think that in summer it may feel tacky, uncomfortable to wear and mask-like.

The pros I can find:

  • lightweight texture

  • hydrates my skin intensely

  • doesn’t cause allergies or any pimples under skin

  • doesn’t clog my pores

  • a little goes a long way.

I recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator to girls with dry and prone to dryness skin.

You can safely buy this travel-friendly version to test it properly and avoid disappointment.

Thanks for reading my review! Buy good stuff only! Smile
