Who else loves oils in their skin care regimen? Personally I adore them, especially when it’s cold outside. I live in a very cold and frosty area, and my skin suffers from sudden change of temperature and dryness.
That’s why I can’t go without face oils.
Today I’d like to review a great face oil, which I’ve been using since spring, namely Clinique Smart Treatment Oil.
In comes housed in a transparent bottle with a properly working dropper. Even though it’s made of plastic, the bottle looks presentable and beautiful.

The ‘Smart Treatment’ line is designed to fulfill the following functions: moisturize and nourish the skin, make it glow, fight wrinkles and improve the skin surface. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
But let’s figure out what it’s really capable of:
The oil has a classic oily formula, but it’s more lightweight than other face oils.
It absorbs quickly - in 30-40 minutes, forms no film on my skin and is suitable for a face massage. The oil doesn’t clog my pores.
It’s odorless.
I use this face oil in a few different ways:
1. After face wash and lotion (or serum). I warm a couple of drops between my palms and then apply them onto my skin. I use a face cream afterwards. Sometimes, I use the oil only or enrich my face cream with it. I use it predominantly in my evening skincare routine.
2. Improve face mask. I always add a drop or two to my facial masks, both those I bought or made myself. And I see the effect!
3. Beautifying oil. If there is a complete disaster on my face, I use this oil to even out all the dry spots. I add this oil in my day cream, but only if I have 30 minutes before I apply my makeup, otherwise my foundation would melt off.
But if I don’t have enough time in the morning, I simply mix the oil with my foundation, which makes my skin glow and healthy-looking. The most important thing is not to forget to apply face powder.
Clinique Smart Treatment Oil is a great moisturizer plus it makes my skin color more even. With this oil, acne marks disappear quickly.

It’s a lightweight face oil with a barely perceptible fragrance, housed in a convenient travel-friendly bottle. I’ve bought this face oil along with other products from the Smart Line, but it works great even when used separately from other products!
