Usually, it’s all due to the lackluster complexion, which shows off bad skin care game. However, it can be corrected with a highlighter and a foundation…
But since I’m pretty lazy, I feel too boring to put on my makeup every day, that’s why I try to improve my complexion without any makeup products. And today I want to tell you about one more from me which is Pixi Peel & Polish:
Pixi Peel & Polish
All the products from Pixi can be described in two words: pleasant and soft.
All the products (with some exceptions) usually retail in green-pink packages and this peeling hasn’t become an exception.
Pixi Peel & Polish
The lettering is as though metal here, that’s why it was a very tricky task to take pictures of it.
The tube is soft and it doesn’t leave any marks even if you press it very tightly. Mine had enough product left for one swatch.
Pixi Peel & Polish
The standard green top cap is small, though pretty comfortable to use. It twists with ease.
Pixi Peel & Polish
The nozzle is of average size, that’s why it’s very comfortable to portion the product.
Pixi Peel & Polish
The texture is lightweight, which is nice to distribute over the skin due to the uneven consistency.
Pixi Peel & Polish
It wasn’t easy to catch that texture with the camera but take my word, it feels so nice while massaging. I could close my eyes and enjoy the moment.
And here we’re passing over to the drawback: the peeling solution smells like rotten fruit.
Water/Aqua/Eau, Lactic Acid, Polylactic Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Ceteareth-20, Beraclay Light Red, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyglceryl-3 Cocoate, Butylene Glycol, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dipentaerythrityl Tri-Polyhydroxystearate, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Polyglceryl-4 Caprate, Polyglceryl-6 Caprylate, Polyglceryl-6 Ricinoleate, Pentylene Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Benzoic Acid, Tocopherol.
They advise us to apply this peeling 2-3 times a week over dry skin and rinse off thoroughly within 5 minutes.
For better results, they also recommend us to massage the formula in, which I usually do mostly to distract myself from that nasty smell. I need half of the pea-sized amount of the product for one time use.
Pixi Peel & Polish
All in all, there are 80ml of the product in the tube and it turned out to go a long way. It was enough for me to use within a year, even longer (thank God there wasn’t any negative reaction from my skin to the expired formula).
Pixi Peel & Polish
This peeling is a perfect solution for dry and reactive skin types. It’s so gentle! I could forget about my skin flaking with it, as well as about blackheads, saggy skin, etc...
But I could use it only when my nose was stuffy, in any other case, it stank awfully.
Well, I don’t mean that it irritated my eyes or anything but that smell of fruit which was forgotten under sunlight was just killing me. And even though I liked the effect on my skin, I still didn’t have any desire to use it on a daily basis.
I was lucky enough to find this product discounted in one of the stores, however, its full price is $24 (you know, the price was the key factor for me which made me use this stinky product till the end).
My skin liked this product but my nose couldn’t bear it.
This is one of the most difficult to assess products for me. I want to give it 1 star for the smell and 8 for the results. But it wasn’t pleasant to use this peeling at all.
So 3 stars from me in the end.
I couldn’t decide on whether to recommend this Pixi Peel & Polish to you or not and finally made up my mind that I would. Yet, don’t forget to stuff your nose with something before use.
