Hi everybody!

Today I want to talk about a very cool temporary hair dye: L'oreal Colorista Washout.

I confess, I spent a lot of time at the counter when choosing a shade, because the range was very wide! Moreover, there were colors for both blondes and brunettes. I have blond hair and I wanted to pick a soft yet lovely shade. My choice fell on the shade #LILACHAIR.

A heavy tube (80 g) is in a bright box, the design of which I associate with Instagram. There is also an instruction booklet, plus the generous guys in L’Oreal put two pairs of gloves in there!

The guideline illustrates the possible options of applications. I wanted just a couple of color stripes.

Ingredients:

Aqua / Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Trideceth-6, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Stearyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Basic Red 51, Hc Blue No. 15, Fumaric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide

What is this dye?

It’s a bright purple cream of medium density, and I can’t help but enjoy the fact that it’s absolutely odorless.

My hair before:

A month and a half ago I had a purple streak, but it disappeared and I wanted it back.

I applied the dye on a strand and waited 20 minutes. Then, I washed it without shampoo and let it dry.

The dye came off easily, and foamed, but the foam itself colorless, like shampoo.

Result:

And in the total mass of hair:

I got what I wanted - a streak of color. The color turned out to be soft and decent looking.

It disappeared after 3 hair washes with shampoo.

The next time I decided to make more streaks, but I applied the dye to my dirty hair (when it was dry), and therefore I used a shampoo.

Result:

This is what the dyed streaks look like after 1 shampooing.

Summarizing the pros:

  • Easy to use (there is a how-to booklet)
  • There are many possibilities to refresh the look of your hair - you can make dyed locks, ombre, etc.
  • Wide range of colors
  • Beautiful shades
  • Doesn’t damage the hair
  • No smell
  • Doesn’t dye the bathroom or hands
  • Comes off without a trace after 3 shampoo applications

Plus the bottle will last for a long time.
