Hi everybody!

For a long time I wanted to try the L'Oreal Colorista hair dye, but there were a few negative factors about it, including the price. I knew that for my length I needed at least two packages, so I grabbed them only when there was a huge discount.

It comes in a cardboard box with all the necessary information on the package.

There were two pairs of gloves, an instruction manual and the dye itself, housed in a tube.

The tube is tiny and soft. The product is convenient to squeeze out, however, a lot of the dye is left inside of the tube, so the package must be cut in a half to get everything out.

There is a flip top cap.

Consistency, color, odor:

The formula is thick, but lightweight, slightly resembles a hair gel. The color of the dye is bright pink, almost fuchsia! I want to note that it is easily washed off from all surfaces and skin.

The fragrance is light and unobtrusive and almost imperceptible.

Composition:

Aqua / Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Hc Blue No. 15, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Hydroxide, Trideceth-6, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Fumaric Acid, Isopropyl Alcohol, Basic Yellow 57, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, (Fil C192632 / 1).

My impressions:

L'Oreal Colorista Color should be applied to clean dry hair. I just washed my hair with shampoo and dried it. The color absorbs instantly, so it is necessary to work out every lock to avoid stains. Although I did my best to apply the color properly, I did not really succeed, all the same, as on the whole there were gaps.

The procedure, including the application, lasted about 40-45 minutes. The hair felt great, as though after a salon treatment! It was super slippery and soft. After drying, the situation did not change. The most important thing is that there was no sensation of plaque on the hair, like from similar dyes.

The transition from natural color to the dyed hair looked very well in my opinion.

Hair that has been well lightened in any lighting remains cold pink, but the same transition showed all the colors from pink to red.

The color was washed off after five shampooings. As I wash my head every day, I had to use dry shampoos to maintain the purity and persistence of the color. As a result, I had pink hair for about a week and a half.

The color was almost completely washed away, but there were a few unpleasant details. Some of the hairs became gray, part - reddish. But after a couple of weeks, the color was leveled, thanks to deep cleansing shampoos and nutritional treatments.

In general, I liked this dye, but there were a few cons though, because of which I won’t repurchase this hair color:

  • A little expensive for such a result.
  • It is not economical. Two packs were enough for my length.
  • It leaves behind unpleasant color effects
  • Not persistent.

As for the pros, I can note that the hair color does not dry my hair and provides the desired shade.

Anyway, the hair color is worth a try, but you should consider all the risks, since there are a few shades in the line which may last on the hair for a long time and give a greenish undertone to your hair.
