How often do you use face primers? Personally I apply them quite rarely, even though I do my makeup almost every day. But I need a special occasion to get a primer out of my makeup box. I prefer to apply nothing but powder onto my face, and enjoy the natural look. That’s why I don’t have many primers in my collection.
I wanted to try out makeup products from Becca for a long time, but hesitated because of the price. Anyway, I ended up buying a kit with their products.
Almost all makeup primers which provide a healthy glow can be used in the following three ways:1. As a base for foundation or face powder. I don’t especially like to use the primer this way, because my skin is prone to oiliness, and thus my makeup can melt off within a few hours after application.2. In a mix with foundation. That’s a better option! Dense mattifying foundations like Lancome Teint Idole Ultra or Loreal Infailible 24 Matte are working great in a mix with such primers. They become more lightweight and easy to use, with a natural dewy finish.3. Apply onto the chosen areas over a foundation. That’s the way I prefer. If you are tired of bright highlighters and only want a delicate sheer glow, with a natural effect and dewy finish, then you should probably try this product.
The primer can be applied with fingers or makeup sponges (the latter way is preferable, because the result is more noticeable)
You can see these tiny shimmer particles in the close up photos. But in real life, those around you will only see the effect of a healthy glow. Nobody will say: what a beautiful highlighter you’re wearing!
If that’s your goal, then I can definitely recommend the Becca Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer!
