❁❁❁ Hello everybody!❁❁❁

Today we’ll talk about the famous Backlight Primer from the famous BECCA brand which aims its makeup at natural finishes.

As they say, you get a photographic filter in a bottle.

I bought it with a set and have a 15ml deluxe sample.

The full 30ml tube costs $39.

Ingredients:

Water, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract, Panthenol, Silica, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Iron Oxides (CI 77491).

How to use:

-Use under foundation or alone, in the t-zone, or all over the face.

-Suitable for all skin types, including oily and combination.

The primer is like a lightweight cream in texture and applies and spreads well. I need a small drop of it for my entire face. It smells beautifully yet still potently. Such a dominating smell can repel sensitive noses and be an issue throughout the day.

My skin is natural and glowing with it. In the pictures the results aren’t so obvious, I still couldn’t get the results shown on the camera. It’s always gloomy and cloudy where I live, so I lack glow on my skin, like many other people. But still, I can spot the difference with and without this primer. After use, my skin is as though revived and awake.

The product is moisturizing. I mean, it won’t replace your moisturizer but still, my skin feels hydrated for a long time.

It doesn’t smooth out my skin tone but camouflages small fine lines and pores with ease.

The color of the primer is beige and it appears like tanned skin over me. I hate it because I love my pale complexion.

If I want more color, I just apply a little bit of a bronzer for the popping features of my face but not a primer all over. So, I have to use a powder on top of it which definitely saves the situation.

But here’s a problem. If I apply powder or a foundation over this primer, all the glow disappears.

It’s the best option for the sunny days or evening makeups! But for the gloomy days, it doesn’t work!

No flashlight.

Most of all I use it to camouflage my pores with it. After that, they seem invisible and almost gone. Also, my powder doesn’t settle there. Moreover, all other makeup applies so easily over this primer. Just a miracle! I haven’t experienced anything like that before.

My pores with and without this primer. Smile

The primer is good characteristics-wise but still, I want a more glowing finish from it. So, I won’t buy the full size for sure.
