Pros: good color payoff, pleasant aroma, price, suits everyday makeup, the best selling products are in one palette

Yay everybody!

Lately, I’ve fallen for one cosmetic product. You know, it gets difficult at times to look fresh and beautiful when exam weeks and loads of work tire me out. And of course I use a blush to make my complexion look fresh and young. This is why I want to tell you about a blush and bronzer palette by a prominent brand Benefit, which is called Blush Bar! I haven’t had any Benefit products in my makeup collection before, this is why I decided to grab this palette to try out all the famous products at once.

This palette is a good bargain, indeed. Just for reference, one separate pan with the product costs about $28, while I got the entire palette for $58.00.

There also the minis of each shade available, but recently there was an unpleasant accident with the Benefit brand and its customers. The thing is that the minis differ from the full-sized products ingredients-wise, as well as in their outer appearance. I know that the company apologized and now they are changing the minis on the good-quality products. Fortunately, this palette was far away from those scandals, probably because it all consists only of full-sized pans.

What does the product say ❦

This bronzer and blush palette is “tutu” cheeky! Our limited-edition cheek palette features NEW Gold Rush warm, golden-nectar blush, iconic Hoola matte bronzer, bestselling Dandelion baby-pink powder and MORE. With five shades to flatter all skintones, this full-size palette comes with a soft powder brush and our signature Tips & Tricks!

Product info briefly

Each refill pan has got its own product info:

Hoola - bronzer - 8.0 g Net wt. 0.28 oz. Made in the USA. The ingredients list includes talc. Expires within 36 months.

GALifornia - blush - 5.0 g Net wt. 0.17 oz. Made in Italy. The ingredients include plant extract and there’s no talc. Expires within 12 months.

Gold Rush and Rockateur - blushes - They are the same as Galifornia characteristics-wise.

Dandelion - blush - The same characteristics as of Galifornia, but it expires within 6 months.

Outer appearance

The palette came with a cardboard cover, which has all the refill pans info on it.

Inside there was the palette itself, as well as the instructions on how to use this or that product.

The palette is small and it is actually a heavy cardboard box with magnets. When you open it for the first time, you’ll see the inner plastic liner and a mirror, which wasn’t protected, by the way.

The first thing that makes the palette stand out at first sight is the smell. It’s sweet and pleasant. It makes me want to use this palette again and again.

Also, the palette offers a small brush, though I don’t use it.

Swatches ❦

I applied all the swatches with my finger and did one layer. But I had to layer the Hoola shade and apply one as well as two layers.

All the shades have a beautiful color payoff, this is why they are so easy to pick up with my finger. However, if I use a brush, the bronzer shows a lot of dusting. It isn’t such a drawback for me, though I know that the color picks up with a brush really well. I use my favorite Real Techniques brush for the application.

Photos of the products on my skin ❦

On a daily basis I don’t wear a lot of the blush. I usually apply a little just to enliven my complexion. But unfortunately, the amount that I wear would be undetectable in the photos.

1) Hoola - matte, satin and absolutely red-less bronzer. From time to time I can even use it as a crease eyeshadow. For me this product is just perfection.

2) Galifornia - excellent and bright blush for summer time. But I had to try hard to make it visible on my skin. The refill looks fantastic and I hope that I won’t wear out its beautiful surface too quickly.

3) Gold Rush - pink blush with golden flecks. It looks peachy on my skin. The shimmer doesn’t stand out on the skin too much, but I’m really happy that there’s some.

4) Rockateur - a tender peachy-pink blush with a satin casting. I’m head over heels when I see this product. It applies nicely, the color is alluring and in general I have nothing bad to say about it.

5) Dandelion - this is the very color I wear every day. It’s pretty easy to get a very beautiful flush with, and at the same time my cheeks don’t look piggy-pink with it on. It’s pleasant to apply with my fingers.

P.S. I think that I should mention it just in case a bronzer should be applied over the high points of your face, while the blush is for the apples of your cheeks.

Overall ❦

I’m delighted with this palette, because all the most popular products by the brand gathered and they all come with one palette. All the products are easy to apply with a brush over my face. All these facts make this palette a staple product for my everyday makeup.

Thanks for your attention and see you in my next reviews!
