I knew about cushion products for face makeup, but I found out that there’s also a lip cushion just six months ago! Naturally, I immediately wanted to give it a try! So, today we’ll speak about a Lip Shadow Cushion Matte Lip Powder from CLINIQUE!
The design is interesting and rather nice.
The product consists of two parts: a tip, which is laced with a pretty big sponge and a top, which is actually a formula with the lipstick.
In fact, I don’t think that the idea of a lip cushion was such a success, you know. The thing is that the sponge remains stained with the lipstick right after the first application and then it’s impossible to wash off. The pigment stays there, dries out and after that, it isn’t pleasant to carry on using it indeed. The sponge can’t be taken off the tip, so I can’t wash it. As for the sponge itself, it’s big, so be careful when outlining your lips, because you risk staining everything around. :)Texture-wise, the lippie isn’t dead matte. It’s more powder-matte and comfortable to wear. It’s so good that it doesn’t tighten my lips and almost doesn’t dry them out.
Even though the formula is long-wearing, I still don’t recommend you lick your lips, because the color will fade then or maybe even crease a little on your inner lip.
I have this product in several shades and today I’ll show you the shade 04 BRIGHT POP in action. It applies well and wears nicely, however, it doesn’t come to all the shades from the line, alas.
