Hello girls!
In this review, I want to share my thoughts on this eyeliner.
It’s a cream eyeliner in a jar from E.L.F.
It was a spontaneous purchase for me. I was hooked with a beautiful elegant jar, good price and tons of positive reviews.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
Currently, it’s been 3 months since I bought it.
During the first month of use, I ALREADY changed my opinion about it. At first, I loved it but then it changed with a desire to throw it away. I’ll tell you why.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
Price: $3-4
Weight: 4.7g
Made in China, even though the brand is American.
It comes in two shades: black and brown. I bought the classy black one for me.
The packaging has suffered a little while transporting but I don’t care.

The pack also includes a featured brush.

The design of the jar is so cute. You won’t even tell it’s affordable. It’s very pleasant to use.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
The color seems charcoal black in the tube. Also, there’s a lot of it.
It’s noteworthy the shelf life of the product is 3 months! How ever one can use such a jar up within 3 months?

🌿 MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT
A few words about me: you see, my eyes are hooded. They almost cover the eyeliner edge. Yet, I still draw lines to deepen my eyes and visually fan my lashes.
BUT, staying power is essential for me. Also, I appreciate how quickly the product sets. Everything that doesn’t set within 30 seconds will eventually stain my eyes. And I don’t want that.
At first, I was head over heels with this eyeliner! Starting with the aesthetic delight from use because of that beautiful packaging and finishing with the black and saturated color and its wear time.
So, let’s move onto makeup.
The featured brush is bullshit for me. It’s too thick and short. Since the product sets quickly, I don’t have any time to tame the brush.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
I bought another one for this product.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
In the beginning, the lines from the product were precise and thick. No patches but matte finish. The color wasn’t charcoal black but it was still worthy.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
It used to set quicky and never budge or stain my upper lids. A dream for hooded eyes isn’t it!
However, that thick and creamy texture was impossible to give the thinnest lines. And I started to draw them thicker.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
In a word, the product was good at first.
But, less than in a month, it started to dry down and the color turned into more like gray rather than black. Besides, it started to leave a patchy finish behind.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
This is what it looked like on my eyes. The line isn’t smooth and the tips are pathetic because of the texture.

You won’t detect it when my eyes are open (because they are hooded) but I’m still very disappointed about its quality.
E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner
And now, about its performance during the day.
I can’t be picky here:
it doesn’t smudge or stain my upper lids
it doesn’t fade in color (it remains the same during the day)
it doesn’t flake off
it doesn’t irritate my eyes
it doesn’t budge and sets quickly
it removes with micellar water or cleansing oil. Just water won’t do anything with it.
🌿OVERALL
I’ll sum up.
The good:
The bad:
Although the price is affordable, I still won’t repurchase.
There are much easier products to use in the market. Any affordable eyeliner will do the job better and live a longer life, while lines will be more precise, and blacker.
