Hello dear ladies! Smile

Even though I can’t say that I get on well with loose powders, I tried a lot of them. Some products were given as minis/travel-sizes, some of them I tried from my mom or friends. And there were only three loose powders which really impressed me: the legendary Caron powder, by no means less legendary loose powder by Chanel and, frankly speaking the hero of my today’s review the Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder.

The packaging is made in the House of Givenchy style - sophisticated and elegant. Shall I mention that the size of the product is just huge and there’s no chance to carry it in my handbag?

First of all because all the powder content will travel onto the puff. And secondly, the size of the package is really big - 20g. It’ll last so long that it’ll be enough for my granddaughters to use this powder too.

The compact offers four-colored fusion:

1. light-lilac-purple shade (the only one that has light reflecting micro-shimmer);

2. dark beige color;

3. faint pink shade;

4. light beige.

While application all the 4 colors mix together making my complexion very fresh and healthy-looking.

The powder has the nicest grain and ultra-light texture. I presume that the provided puff applies it a little “rougher” than a brush which leaves lightweight and semi-transparent veil-like finish.

I apply this powder only over my foundation, as a light mattifying veil product. If I apply it on my bare face, I usually have some problems then: this powder is difficult to blend out over the moisturizing cream if it didn’t sink in fully; the powder is too lightweight and transparent hence it doesn’t give much coverage. At least not enough as I need.

It mattifies my skin well for 6-7 hours. No irritation on my face or drying out of my skin.

The light reflecting micro-shimmer (from the purple-lilac shade) is almost undetectable on the skin, though at the same time it creates a good effect of “photoshop” on my skin.

On my face I have only Dolce&Gabbana foundation.

Added a little bit of the powder, filled in my brows, made up my eyes and lips and used some blush.

Price: $55

Thanks for your attention! Have a joyful shopping day! Smile
