It's been a month already since I first started to test these lipsticks by BALMAIN X L’Oréal and now I have a firm opinion about them.
Naturally, the first thing that I was attracted to was the brand’s name BALMAIN and then obviously I wanted to buy all the shades.
All in all I chose three which are Freedom, Confidence and Fever.
The packaging looks posh from a distance though the sheen disappears once you take a closer look at it.
The plastic material is cheap and I can see some ridges on the packaging that were there from the day of manufacturing. Not good.
All the products are different in quality.
I have no problems with the semi-transparent orange color though I have a lot of questions with the purple shade. In the collection there’s a matte and thick purple shade, but I knew that I would choose Freedom. I knew that it would look patchy. Though if applied right, it looks more or less ok.
Fever is a thick matte beautiful color, though it makes my teeth look yellow. Not too much, but I can see it and that’s a disadvantage.
Confidence is a semi-transparent pinky-peach color with a golden shimmer. It looks stunning on my lips and I usually wear it with a nude lip pencil or over some other nude lipstick.
Freedom. One of the most troublesome shades from the collection. It’s patchy. If you’re planning to wear it, it’ll be better to apply it over a nude lip pencil. I like the pigment that it leaves when it disappears. The pink pigment looks so seductive! Like a pink lip tint.
In the end I conclude that I’ll try a couple of other shades from this collection.
