A concealer should be an essential product for any makeup bag, in my book. As for me, I have some concealers at once on my vanity of different shades and for different purposes. Recently my collection was replenished with a MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer.
For a long time, I used to use MAC Pro Longwear Concealer and truly believed that it was the best unless I met the Tarte Shape Tape. That’s why I was so curious to compare the new concealer with my all-time fave.
Packaging- A plastic tube comes with a doe foot applicator. And it’s super handy because the Pro Longwear packaging was always freaking me out, as it gave out too much product all the time. Besides, it looked so fragile. The aroma is classy for all the MAC products - light and cosmetic-like.
Shade NW15- I fell for the fairest shade from a warm-toned lineup. This shade looks way lighter than my natural skin color, but this is exactly what I was looking for. I gravitate towards the maximum highlighting of my under eye area. IMAGE:10}
Texture- It’s just a lightweight, almost weightless cream. Here the texture seems to be way lighter than of the Tarte or MAC Pro Longwear concealers.

My impressions of use
The product effectively camouflages even my active dark under eye circles. I can’t say that it erases them totally, but it’s more than enough for making me look wide awake and rested. The Tarte Concealer offers better coverage because it’s way thicker. But this product shows the same coverage as the Pro Longwear concealer.
It never looks dead matte, it’s more like with a satin finish. I like the way my under eye area looks with this concealer on. So highlighted. The product doesn’t dry out my skin or show skin relief.
It can crease a little within 5 minutes after application but later on, it sets nicely.
I like using it for contouring of my face features. The texture applies well over any foundations and highlights all the desired areas. The formula is build-able.
I have no questions to the MAC Studio Fix 24-hour Smooth Wear Concealer. It’s a perfect every-day go-to product for me. It’ll suit perfectly those who find Tarte Shape Tape too thick, yet who still want quality dark circles coverage.
And in the end, I decided to compare this product with the colors of some other concealers which I have in my collection.
