Hello my dear readers!
It’s a problem sometimes to find a good quality eyeliner. For ages I was trying to make friends with pen eyeliners but none of them lasted for a longer than a month so I turned down that “relationship”. And even though I was holding and storing them always in a vertical position, the foam applicator tip was very fast to dry and creating beautiful wings on my eyes used to be a real pain. And since I’ve discovered this product, I don't even want to look at pen eyeliners any more.
Recently I ordered the MUFE set where I found this eyeliner. I was a little bit upset as it was waterproof and I don’t appreciate waterproof cosmetic products especially for my eyes. But I really liked the shape and idea of the product, so decided to give it a go.
Price: $23
They don't advise using the eyeliner on the waterline.
The color range of the collection is huge and very bright but I have it in a classical black color. (#13)
The product has a screw on top cap. The applicator is supposed to be dipped into the black liquid.
So, you see the applicator has no chance to dry out. What’s more you don’t need to press the applicator on your eyelid to get beautiful and precised wing as it usually happens with pen eyeliners.
If you want, you can keep the product vertically on you dressing table, for example, and be sure that it won’t leak.
By the way, I wouldn’t call this liner a “liquid” eyeliner, “gel-like” is more accurate. I can remember my first eyeliner ever. That one was really “liquid” and runny, so it was impossible to draw wings with it, Too watery and runny consistency was always running down my face. The applicator was too thin and inconvenient to work with. But this product is different. I think that even an amateur/beginner will do well with this eyeliner.
May I give you a piece of advice? Cut the tiniest bit from the applicator’s tip and you’ll have no problems doing lines. In the photo you can see that there’s like a small ball hanging on the tip of the applicator. It makes the lines too thick and if you cut it, you’ll get more accurate and precised lines.
The applicator is ergonomic and precise. The tip is very thin and if compared with a pen eyeliner, ohh man, the difference is colossal.
The product gives a very thin line. The only thing I wish about is that it could give better coverage from the first layer, as I can see my skin color showing through it sometimes.
All in all, on the eyes that problem isn’t visible as much.
Total look. Eyeliner + red lipstick and I’m the happiest person in the world.
Unless I cut down a little bit of the applicator’s tip, it was tricky for me to get beautiful and thin wing.
If you look closer you’ll see some patches in the color.
But still I love the product as it gives a thin and precised line.
The eyeliner is glossy and really water and wearproof.
It won’t come off if rubbed with micellar water. If only I had a choice, I wouldn’t have taken the waterproof eyeliner.
But this Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner is also very good. I take a star off for the sheer coverage and strange if-not-cut applicator.
Thanks for reading my review!
