Hey Sweeties! Smile

Cream eyeshadow is one of my favorite makeup products. It’s easy to use, plus it’s amazingly beautiful.

I have quite a collection of creamy shadows from various brands actually and it only gets bigger every day.

Today I’d like to review the Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Color Paint.

I’m a big fan of this brand due to their stylish and minimalistic designs. The eyeshadow comes in a lovely small tube, the color of which coincides with the color of the product itself.

The tube may look a little bit shabby over time, but it’s not that big of a deal.

Size: 4.8ml.

Country: France.

All color tones have the same creamy formula, although the finishes are different.

The pigmentation is on fleek! Just take a look at the black shade! Is it even possible?! However, some shades may be a little streaky, but it’s not really noticeable on the eyelids.

I can’t say that the MUFE Aqua XL Color Paint is easy to work with. The product is flexible, but it sets pretty quickly. So, if you had no time to blend it out or you made a blunder, it would be really hard to correct it.

The shadow sets firmly and tightly! And I guess it’s the most long-lasting eye product I’ve ever used. For example, it’s a little bit of a hassle to remove the black shade. Even the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm can’t handle it in the first go.

This eyeshadow is a real godsend for me, especially now when I have watery and itchy eyes because of an allergy reaction.

What you have to know about this eyeshadow is not only that you have to get the hang of it and get used to blending quickly, but that it also dries out the skin.

The great staying power comes at price. I use this product on a daily basis for the time being, so I cleanse my eyelids very properly in the morning and evening.

Now I suggest you take a closer look at the shades:

The product range comes with 3 different finishes.

L-14, L-30 and L-54 (shimmer/satin)

L-14 is a pearly silver shade. It doesn’t apply to my hand so evenly, but it does on my skin. It’s hard to apply a thick coat, because it looks patchy when it’s dry. So, I prefer using a thin coat as an eyeshadow base for gentle and glowing makeups.

L-30 is a satin khaki. It looks worse in the swatch than in real life as well. It’s easy to work with. Plus, it’s good for both a base and as a standalone shade.

L-54 is a brown-bronze satin that is amazing in all respects. I love it as a base for quick bronze smokey eyes.

I-50 and I-80 (shimmer)

I-50 is a shimmer champagne shade. It’s a fuss-free shade that is easy to work with. The shimmer is quite muted and neutral, so it’s suitable for a daily makeup. You can also wear it at work.

I-80 is a gentle pink shimmer that has the same properties as the shade I-50.

М-10 and М-52 (matte)

М-10 is the blackest shade so far! So you need just a tiny bit amount to work with.

The shade is pitch-black, highly-pigmented and intense, so put it on very carefully. To top it off, it stays put all day in the waterline of my eye.

М-52 is the most versatile beige-pink shade, perfect as an eyeshadow base for any makeup.

Each tube has a fine plastic applicator that I use for applying. I squeeze just a fraction of the product on my hands and work with a brush or my fingers after that.

Well, enough said. Let me show you the makeups I could create with these 7 shades.

Here, I used the shade I-80, plus pink Bobbi Brown topper and ABH Soft Glam on my lower eyelid.

Here, I applied the shade L-30 that I usually use on its own. But this time I added some shades from the Lime Crime Venus II palette as well.

Now, I’ll show you an amazing everyday look with the shade I-50. The lower eyelid is emphasized with the help of the Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Eyeshadows.

The shade L-14 combines startlingly well with the Lime Crime Venus III shadows.

The pitch-black М-10 I use as a base for smokey eyes and as a kajal eyeliner for my waterline. Here, I used the shades from the Lime Crime Venus II and Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette.

М-52 is perfect as an eyeshadow base for any makeup, but I love using it for some soft looks.

And finally, here is one of my favorite looks with L-54. This is a quick bronze smokey eyes look with vivid emphasis that I created with the help of MUFE Aqua XL M-30 Eyeliner and Kiko Smart Colour Eyeshadow.

I loved these creamy shadows and the shades М-52, М-10, I-50 and L-54 in particular!

They are sometimes a pain in the butt to work with, but I got the hang of it and got used to their formula after a while.

I really appreciate their staying power. You can wear them in the rain or cry over a TV show for two hours and nothing happens to them.

I’m planning on purchasing some other shades, because the product really nailed it!

Price: $25 for a tube.

Thanks for stopping by! Be always gorgeous and have a happy shopping experience! Wink
