I was looking for a matte lipstick without a hint of gloss. After having tried out the matte lines of Artdeco and Clinique, which were beautiful yet glossy, I decided to give the Makeup For Ever Artist Rouge Mat Lipstick a go, and it became my favorite!
It’s easy to apply, doesn’t smudge and covers the lips with one stroke. I love it for its wonderful formula and forgive all the minor flaws:)

The lipstick comes in a minimalistic bullet, but when you hold it in your hands you can feel that they’ve worked through every detail.
The bullet closes tightly and loudly with a click.
The lipstick is easy to push out without damages
Lasting power:
It’s quite decent; the lipstick stays put even after a snack and doesn’t fade after 7-8 hours of wear.
Does it care for the lips or dry them out?
The lipstick is a bit drying, but no wonder, it’s matte.
It applies evenly, although it starts to crack after 5-6 hours. It doesn’t settle into little lines on the lips and doesn’t make dryness stand out, so take it even if your lips aren’t perfect.
Fragrance:
Cosmetic scent, doesn’t linger on the lips.
With this lipstick and a lip liner you can easily create a goodish look for everyday.
