I never have enough red lipsticks in my collection!
I have a sample of the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat lipstick that I got from a beauty box. However, the packaging is almost the same as the full-size. This one is just two times smaller.
It has a creamy formula that glides over my lips very gently and softly.
It may emphasize dry patches, so moisturize them properly before applying.
The manufacturer says that it’s matte, but I would describe this finish as satin or silky.
Due to such a finish, it is hardly drying to my lips. The wear time is crazy. The lipstick lasts up to 10-11 hours and leaves a slight raspberry-red pigment on my lips when it comes off.
It transfers and smears, however. So I prefer taking it off before meals.
The shade
M401 Hot Red is a classic dark-red shade that is muted and vibrant at the same time.
Such a hue compliments both fair and tanned skin types really well.
Overall, it’s a fabulous matte lipstick of awesome quality! I always feel like using it, which means a lot, because I have a huge collection of lip products.
