Hello there dear readers
I want to bring you my review of the soothing primer by Make Up Forever. I want to note it right here that I was deeply impressed with almost all the primers from the Step 1 collection. It’s a really good professional product that I can highly recommend to you. Most of all I use it for my clients, as I’m a makeup artist and less frequently I use it for myself.
PACKAGINGThe primer is packed very beautifully. It’s a black (or gray…) matte soft tube of 30ml.
Made in France.
The tube is uber pleasant to the touch though it collects stains very easily!
CONSISTENCY
Consistency-wise the primer is very thick and to make the product come out I always have to press the tube quite hard. A little goes a long way so a pea-sized drop is enough for the entire face.
APPLICATION
I advise you to apply the primer with your fingers, as the brush doesn’t allow much control and you can either end up with too much product on your face or get the primer creased.
I usually apply the product in dots and then spread into a very thin layer. Most of all I prefer to apply it only on the T-zone.
Use circular motions to make the product get into the skin. If you dab the product the effect won’t be the same. Work quickly, as the primer sets fast.
I want to show you the result this primer gives in a rather unusual way. The thing is that there isn’t much standing out relief on my face, so I want to show you the result on my fingers where the skin relief is more obvious. Just look at what the product does! The primer not only smooths the skin but also mattifies it.

FRAGRANCE
There’s a very pleasant fragrance to the product only during application that fades while wearing.
MY TIPS ON HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT:
apply it with your fingers not with a brush
always apply a thin layer
apply the primer as quickly as possible, as the product sets very quickly
you’d better opt for sponge foundation application over this primer to prevent creasing
don’t use the primer over oily skin especially in summer (the thing is that the skin sebum will pull the product out of your skin. And as a result the skin won’t look well and the products will definitely crease.)
it’s better not to apply it over very dry skin as the primer may show flaking
Thanks for your interest to my review!
