One day I’ve been looking for a super long-lasting and inexpensive lipstick for my prom. I didn’t want to touch up every 30 minutes during such an important day.
After asking my friends and making inquiries in some makeup groups, I went to the drugstore to buy the Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour everyone unanimously recommended me as the most long-lasting lipstick in a drugstore section.
As a result I had to use another product at my prom. Why?

💄 PACKAGING 💄
Firstly, I have to note that this lipstick consists of 2 products: the lipstick itself and a transparent lip gloss.

Both of them are packed in a bright paper package of the color you choose. Inside they are divided into 2 parts.
On the back of the package you can find the ingredients and suggested use.

The products themselves come in plastic tubes with the logo of the brand. In my opinion, the packaging looks absolutely cheap and tawdry. To top it off, the tube here was a little bit scratched.

💄 SMELL 💄
It’s so horrible! Both products of this two step system have it. I can’t say what puts me off for sure. I don’t know if it’s about the smell of the lipstick that reminds me of old, dried play-dough (I can’t compare it with anything else) or a headache-causing smell of silicones.
It’s probably good that there is no fragrance component, but I guess it would be better if it had some… 😖
💄 SHADES 💄
If I’m not mistaken, the color range of the Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour is not huge. I picked up the shade 026 "So Delightful". It’s a vibrant, lively raspberry red and exactly the color I wanted to wear at my prom.

If you are planning on purchasing this lipstick for a specific occasion like me, consider other shades like, for example, muted nude or dark hues, because they are probably less finicky in application than my ‘cute’ raspberry color.
💄 TEXTURE AND APPLICATION 💄
At first I’ll tell you about the claims:
Long-lasting lip colour for up to 24 hours with a lustrous sheen finish.
Daring colour that lasts for up to 24 hours
Matte undercoat meets lustrous sheen top coat
A smooth finish with a lustrous sheen
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1
Always exfoliate lips with a soft toothbrush.
STEP 2
Always hydrate lips and remove any excess moisture with a tissue.
STEP 3
Use a lip brush or the applicator to fill your lips with colour.
STEP 4
Wait for one minute for the colour to dry, and then apply the moisturising top coat. Reapply the balm topcoat regularly throughout the day.
To tell you the truth, I have to admit that the product is really long-lasting, because the color simply imprints into my lips and causes uncomfortable feelings.
The first thing I feel is that my lips are extremely taut and I want to move them or something to get rid of this sensation.

Actually I didn’t get why this product is divided into 2 parts. It’s not really convenient to carry a lipstick and a moisturizing top coat with me. However, I guess that is the trick here. Something like: ‘Wow, look at me! Firstly, I’m going to dry your lips out, but after that I moisturize them with an ‘awesome’ lip balm!’
I mean what’s the sense?
The beauty world offers such a variety of comfortable wearing lipsticks that will give you moisture and an amazing and bright payoff today. My point is that just a single tube can ensure such a performance, which is much better, right?
So, I don’t appreciate the idea of the two step application system.
That’s how the lipstick looks on my lips without a moisturizing top coat:

It obviously emphasizes all the imperfections of my lips and sets into my fine lip lines. I didn’t even know about some of them, because I take good care of my lips!
Also, the coverage is not thick and applies streaky.
The lip balm softens my lips a little bit and seems to moisturize them. At least my lips don’t feel taut anymore. By the way, you should better hold your breath when applying, because the smell is really disgusting.

💄 STAYING POWER 💄
I can actually compliment this lipstick for the staying power. Yes, it doesn’t last 24 hours, of course, but it lasts really well through snacks and even meals.
You can even kiss with this product on and there will be no stains on your partner

However, this advantage has a significant disadvantage for me. The lipstick is so hard to remove. I mean it.
It’s such a hassle to remove it with a cotton pad saturated with micellar water. I don’t even know how my lips survive after this process. It is also pain in the butt to take off with my favorite cleansing oil.
It comes off patchy and looks so dreadful. It feels like I remove the bits of my lip skin because I rub them too heavily.

Now I’m going to show you a spooky picture how my lips look after 6 hours and after 2 touch-ups:

Creepy! This lipstick found fine lines I didn’t even know I had! 
It creased at the inner side of my lips and looked so awful. I take good care of my lips. I scrub and moisturize them with various lip balms, oils, etc. So I always try to keep them in good condition. As a result hardly any lipstick emphasizes my dry patches, because there are simply none. However, the Max Factor Lipfinity managed to do that and emphasized even the finest lip lines that we all naturally have. It seems like this lipstick says to me: ‘Well, look how disgusting your lips really are.’

💄 OVERALL 💄
In my opinion, these insignificant pros can’t outweigh plenty of cons.
Even if this or that product looks amazing on my lips, but causes uncomfortable feelings, it will never be in my cosmetic bag. More than that, I would never recommend it to anyone.
