Hello-hello!
I’ll review my so much wanted eyeshadow palette that I fell for once I saw the promo shots and which I was waiting for so much to be retailed. And here it is, finally I was presented with it.
The eyeshadows look very beautiful. This palette looks fine and really accompanies my eyeshadow palettes collection by the Maybelline brand.
All the colors are very deep-toned, shining and sparkling. There are only two matte shades here: dark chocolate and gray-brown. The rest are shimmer or glitter shades which in their turn fall out during application and become almost seamless on the lids.
The shimmer and glitter is easy to take off the shades with one stroke making them satin-sparkling in finish.
The shadows are very soft, almost creamy-like. They are nice to layer and blend. They show their best if applied over primer or any other base color. But still, even on a non-primed skin they look interesting and unusual.
Even though almost all the colors are of wine and marsala shades, these eyeshadows don’t look on the eyes as though you were crying. I guess that’s because they have more chocolate-coffee-golden undertones rather than true red. These shades make the products look softer and very interesting.
With this palette you can do smokey eyes for day wear as well as for an evening of going out. This palette seems to be even more versatile for me than my favorite The Blushed Nudes.
The eyeshadows apply and hold on well. They don’t crease and fade only the tiniest bit by the evening but I didn’t apply them too brightly either. If you apply these shadows with a wet brush I guess they may stay on forever!
