I want to make a review of this mascara by Maybelline 
Pre-story
Once my mom visited a drug store where she wanted to buy an affordable mascara. And the sales girl advised her to pick up this one which my mom eventually did. When she showed it to me at home, I was rather skeptical about this mascara as I used to like the Maybelline mascaras only when I was a school girl and was not at all picky about any product. Only after a few years I knew that smudging, clumps and stuck together eyelashes were not good and stopped buying the Maybelline products.
But this very yellow mascara which was bought by my mom turned out to be not so bad. After all these years I decided to give it a go and try it out. I can say that this mascara made me believe in the Maybelline brand again.

That was a pre-story and now let’s move onto the subject of the review
ADVANTAGES:
you can use it right after the purchase as the product doesn't need time to become thicker or anything, as it usually happens with so many other mascaras.
The product is of a natural black color that will suit daily make-up.
My coated lashes stay flexible and never stiffen.
This one leaves the least amount of clumps among all the others mascaras by the brand
Unless you rub your eyes savagely, it crumbles or flakes off.
Disadvantages:
the product is badly scented. Not at all like all the other mascaras. This one smells of something sour.
You won’t get the drama effect on your lashes for an evening make-up with it. Your lashes won’t be black enough and become almost invisible if you do a smokey-eye makeup.

1 COAT
My one layer coated lashes look pretty natural. The mascara doesn't curl them, so be ready to use a curler if needed. I don’t even comb my lashes with a clean mascara brush after application. I have some lashes that are sticking out and growing in a different direction and this product helps me to tame them and lets me put them where I need. These are all the characteristics of a 1 layer coated lashes.

2 COATS
Covered with 2 coats, my lashes pop and become more visible, but still they look neat and “light”. The brush coats every eyelash making them thicker and longer. When I apply the second layer of the mascara I drag the brush here and there to make the better product get into the lashes.
So, this is how I actually get these cute doll-ish looking eyelashes. They all look thicker yet separated and not clumped. This is a good sign of a good mascara for me, as a lot of mascaras give a “spider legs” effect when I apply the second layer. If you like the separated lashes effect then the only thing you’ll need to do is comb your lashes with a clean lash brush.

You can also coat you lower lashes with this mascara which I actually do very rarely since I don’t like the effect.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
I’ve been using this mascara for about 6 months already and it’s still the same in consistency. Maybe it has become a little bit dryer and I have to spend longer to coat all the lashes. But I think that using it within 3-4 months will be just perfect.
If you prefer thick and hairy brushes yet naturally-looking eyelashes then I can easily recommend you this mascara.
Still I want to give it 4 stars for a not very pleasant scent and the fact it’s suitable only for a daily make-up wear. Therefore it means that you’ll need to buy another mascara for evening make-up which means extra money.
