Maybelline FaceStudio Master Contour & Highlight V-Shape Duo Stick - review

Recently Maybelline really have been treating their fans with great products and it seems that they can make all their dreams come true! This time I needed to buy a mascara by this brand and along with mascara I also bought a Matte Liquid Lip Color and Contour & Highlight V-Shape Duo Stick!

And my review is dedicated to this stick. I want to share with you my positive impressions of it as I really fell for it once I tried it out!

The thick stick is about 2-3 inches and houses 2 products for face contouring. The light one is a highlighter and the dark one is a contour product.

Most of all I was interested in the dark side of the stick. It’s of such the right color, pleasant texture and easy to apply - all these words were told me by a sales girl and of course I was hooked.

By the way, they also had one more color of the stick which was darker but I intentionally opted for Light, even though I’m tanned now.

But I know that my tan will fade soon so I’ll need the light color.

There isn’t much of the product in the stick, 7g, or 3.5g for each side.

The texture of the product is adorable! It’s fatty to some extent which makes it so easy to blend out. The product is difficult to overdo with, which is a great advantage of the creamy textures over pressed and powder ones. The finish is natural. The fragrance isn’t natural and smells of some chemical components, but I don’t feel it on my face!

My impressions

WOW! I fell in love with this stick right after the first use and from that moment on I keep using it daily with great pleasure. Everything is fine about it - easy and quick to apply, natural finish, staying power and the color of course. In a word - that’s a bomb color!

As for the highlighter, I honestly confess that I’m less interested in this part of the stick, as I don’t like highlighters. Yet I noticed that this highlighter will not create the super shine effect on your face as it’s shimmer-less. I sometimes apply it on my Cupid’s bow and cheekbones to get a tad dewy finish that will be visible only in the sun.

The contour side is my favorite. It’s of perfect shade. Even though the texture is creamy, it stays on for 5 hours applied over a BB cream.

The blending takes no more than 5 seconds and I usually do it with my fingertips. No streakiness, only delicate and natural shadow finish.

With great pleasure I recommend this product for purchasing, especially to those who have fair skin and who are afraid of contouring and applying too much. You’ll never overdo with this one. The most important is that the product is travel-friendly. I can apply it everywhere and blend it out within seconds!
