Recently I’ve fallen in love with highlighters. Of course I did have them before, but I didn’t use them much and applied very rarely. A few weeks ago, I bought Master Strobing Stick by Maybelline, as I respect the brand and believe that their each and every new product is getting better and better. Moreover, I like their price a lot. So, let’s get started.
There are two shades:
- Light 100 (001) - fair color with pink undertone
- Medium 200 (002) - darker color with golden undertone
I have fair skin tone, so I picked up 100. But they both are very beautiful and 200 color will look great on the tanned skin.
Made in France.
Size - 9 g. It’s very economical, so it’ll last long.

HOW TO USE/APPLY
Step 1. To enhance cheeks – highlight top of cheekbones.Step 2. To accentuate features – spotlight center of face.Step 3. To brighten eye area – spotlight brow bone and inner corner.
The design and packaging:The highlighter is in a very convenient and compact stick. It doesn’t take much space, so it is very easy to take with you. The packaging is simple, but it looks very nice and stylish. The stick closes tightly and will not open itself. It twists in and out very easily. The stick is of very good quality, just like luxury products.
The scent: it doesn’t have any.
The texture: The highlighter’s texture is very pleasant to touch. It’s soft and light. The product is very creamy, so it blends very easily without leaving any spots. It’s not greasy. Once applied it dries and gets the powder finish. The highlighter blends easily either with finger, brush or a sponge.
The product applies and blends greatly on the bare skin as well as onto the other products (like foundation, powder etc.)
It lasts on my skin the whole day, it doesn’t imprint anywhere, doesn’t fade or smudge. It gives my skin very beautiful glow, and it doesn’t look like too much. There’s no glitter in it. I’m absolutely raving about it. Maybelline managed to create a product, not inferior in quality to luxury ones.
