I’m so happy about my Maybelline- The Nudes palette! I love brown color-grade, that’s why I couldn’t pass by this palette. I’ve got two plates actually. I use one now and will use another as soon as the first is finished. So let’s have a closer look at each color:
The pigmentation and the color-grade is great. The shadows are also very easy to blend. I’m very delighted that there are matte, satin and shimmer textures. The palette allows to do a lot of makeup options using the techniques, described at the back of the palette. But I actually don’t take their advice. I knew about this palette when I read and watched some reviews of it. But the shades turned out to be different rather than they were described. And I want to warn the girls with very fair skin, as some shades are really strange. One looks pink, the other makes my eyelid orange. However, if you choose the right color for the inner corners, then the palette becomes easy to work with. But I don’t like difficult shades, as they take too much time.
The first shade: I want to name it “the golden snow”. I’ve heard a lot that, it’s simple white, but no! It’s got a white base, but it shines with golden color. It’s very beautiful. It can fall out a bit, but it depends on what you apply it with. The applicator places it well, but if you use a brush - it may fall out.
The second: Satin taupe shade. It’ll be perfect for the crease and if used alone. Soft, and doesn’t fall out at all. It’s my favorite.
The third: It’s matte, but, for me, it’s orange. I hear a lot that’s it perfect for blending, but, alas, not for me. It looks not beautiful at all, but maybe it depends on the skin color. It’s usual matte shade, but the most problematic one.
The fourth: Bronze, shimmer shade. It’s too dry, but the pigmentation is great. I use this color not very often, simply because I love matte and satin textures more. This hue is good for evening makeup and to bring something new into your daily makeup.
The fifth: Matte taupe shade. It’s a bit red for me, but still it’s very beautiful. In my makeup routine I use it as blending color. It’s a very good shade to experiment with. It almost doesn’t fall out.
The sixth: It’s dark brown and matte. It doesn’t turn into red, which is a definite advantage. Easy to blend and very soft and gentle. I think, it’s a perfect shade for the outer corner. And it’s also absolutely great as a brow shadow. The most intense brown in this palette.
The seventh: It’s of warm, bronze color. I see it like this. The shimmer one.
The eighth: Warm, brown, matte. It’s also very silky and easy to apply and work with. Suits to the eyebrows as well. If you don’t take out much, it can be applied in the crease.
The ninth: It’s gold with shimmer. Well, gold is gold. I don’t like such colors, but the pigmentation is quite good. It’s a quite calm gold one. The only one, I’d say, that’s not dry in shimmer colors of this palette.
The tenth: cocoa with shimmer. It’s dry, but very beautiful, I’m so upset that it’s so difficult to work with. It’s difficult to apply with a brush, more or less evenly, I can apply with an applicator. And you need to put some effort to blend it.
The eleventh: Pink, shade with small pearl shimmer. It’s pinky, but matches the brown color well. Silky, pleasant, easy to work with.
Twelfth: The last one in this palette. It’s of coal color. Matte and very dry one. It’s not at all bad as the eyeliner or for the smokey eyes. Nothing special, simple black. There are teeny-tiny bits of shimmer, but they aren’t seen at all.
I’ll show you two makeup looks:
Quick, daily makeup.
Sorry, for my crooked brows, I didn’t have much time to do them well. I’m very delighted with this palette, its quality is great for the price I paid for it. Of course I applied all the eyeshadows with a primer. For me, there’s no need to apply them without a primer.
I was very glad to help you!
