Hey, Beauties!
The word ‘lipstick’ means a lot to me. However, I’ve been on the fence whether or not to buy this lipstick for quite a while. The reviews about this product were pretty mixed. One day, however, I decided to give it a shot.
At first I picked up two shades. I just couldn’t choose one.
So, I had the shades 15 Lover and 20 Pioneer.
After a while I also purchased the shade 50 Voyager.
Price: $9.49
The tube is minimalistic, plastic and transparent. It has the color of the product itself and the cap is always white. The design looks stylish. The writing is not tawdry or flashy, but pretty.
The cap closes in one and the same position due to specific cuts.
The product also has a tamper-proof sticker, which is really good.
The expiry date is indicated on the cap, so you can control it. However, I’m not sure if it goes that far in my case, because I constantly reach for this lippie.
Size: 5 ml.
The shelf life after unpacking is not indicated, but matte lipsticks usually expire within 18 months.
Ingredients:
Applicator:
It’s a felt-tip applicator made in the form of a drop with a hole in the middle. This tool is extremely convenient to use! It turned out to be the best applicator wand I’ve ever tried. It helps contour my lips sharply and precisely. The only gripe I have about it is that I have to dip back into the tube too frequently.
The limiter functions alright.
The scent is enjoyable and sweet. It reminds me of some pastry with sugar syrup or donuts.
The texture is just the right type. It’s a little malleable and neither too thick nor too liquid.
The finish is matte, but not like totally matte.
Application: I absolutely love applying it! The process is incredible.
It applies evenly and streak-free even using bright shades. The payoff is vivid, luscious and literally perfect!
The lipstick doesn’t set instantaneously, so you can easily draw the contour and correct any blunders. The layer is pretty thin. What else do you need?
My feel: Awesome! It doesn’t dry out my lips and I don’t feel it on my lips. BUT if I don’t blot it with a dry tissue, my lips stick together, which is not good. Plus, the wear time is not that perfect if I don’t remove the excess amount.
So I strongly recommend you remove the excess with a tissue within a minute after applying.
If you do so, the staying power is stunning!
It won’t transfer onto anything or fade. Literally NOTHING happens to it during the day! You can even eat greasy food, but it will come off just a faint bit from the inside of the lips.
However, if you don’t even eat anything, it doesn’t look very neat in this area, but it’s a widespread issue with all matte lippies.
It doesn’t bleed or crack when wearing. Moreover, it doesn’t smear or settle into my fine lip lines.
Makeup removal:
By the way, the lipstick can be layered, but it’s not necessary. If I layer it, it removes from my lips without fuss. Just a single drop of makeup remover and it’s ready.
A micellar water works alright here, but you’ll have to apply some force. A cleansing oil functions better, but the process still requires some efforts. Nevertheless my lips feel alright and not at all dry.
The shades I have:
From left to right:15 Lover, 20 Pioneer and 50 Voyager.
15 Lover
It’s not that classy pink that doesn’t compliment my lips, but a cool pink with a slight purple undertone.
This shade is adorable and very complicated. It makes my teeth look whiter. In addition, it’s suitable for casual wear.
It applies to my lips very well.
Total look:
20 Pioneer
This shade is a dream. It’s just a perfect classy red. I love red tones and I have a similar SMLC shade from NYX. But the latter shade is a hassle to apply in a thick coat, and it’s so easy with Maybelline.
The shade is very intense and vibrant.
It seems to be a little streaky in the swatch, but it's not streaky on my lips.

Total look:
50 Voyager
It’s a deep dark burgundy. It can be a little streaky on my lips, but it’s not that big of a deal. As soon as you get the hang of it, it’ll be easier to spread out.
This shade is perfect for fall. Absolutely stunning! It will look amazing with my favorite mustard coat.
