Hello everybody!
It’s time to review the NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows in the shades #17 with a gorgeous name Dressed to Kill :
NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows 17 Dressed to Kill
Properties: the product is water-colored. It’s rather dry and chunky, this is why the texture crumbles so easily and the color in the end doesn’t look smooth and even on my eyes. The color payoff leaves much to be desired, besides there are some problems with the blending out.
Shade. The shade was the reason I bought this product, actually. I’d describe it as an ashed lavender which shines duochrome with a taupe hue. In a gray-brown-purple ashed hue they added some colorful shimmer (which is rather big though) and some silver pearl casting.
Let’s have a look at it:

Wet and dry application of the product over my skin: (yes, that muddy spot is actually this product applied with a dry technique). In the sunlight I can see the notes of taupe shade to it.

In the daylight or natural light the color looks as cold-toned as possible and there are clearly lavender notes here:

Impressions of use: This is the product that you should know how to apply. It’s better to use a confident hand and use a wet brush to make the statement at once that this is an eyeshadow and not mud on your eyes. You may probably say that all the water-colored eyeshadows are shitty during application but I’ve got many water-colored eyeshadows, some of them cost the same as this product, while some of them are much pricier. So, I know that there are water-colored eyeshadows in my collection that perform better on my eyes. I love the color of this NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows Dressed to Kill so much, that despite all the quality issues, I’ll keep it in my collection.
The product’s on my eyes. I used a light hand and wet technique to apply it and blend out:

I used some MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Lightscapade Highlighter to apply over my brow bone.
The quality of this product isn't the best in the world. But the shade is definitely worth your attention. The shade is the only reason why I do actually recommend this product for purchasing.
