Hey there!
This review is devoted to the NYX lipstick, which is hardly the first lipstick by the brand in my bag, but definitely the first one from this matte line.
The color range is so rich that it’s hard to choose the right one.
Description:
Load your lips with plush, pigment-rich color choosing from 12 brand new shades of Matte Lipstick—our shockingly smooth lip color that glides right on and stays in place with a silky matte finish that never feels dry. Now available in a range of fresh new hues, these playful pops of color are just what your spring wardrobe needs!
The lipstick is housed in a black and white bullet. All bullets in the line are visually the same, only the transparent strip in the middle of the bullet shows the true color of the product. The cap closes with a click.
The formula is oily, not totally matte. It glides pleasantly over my lips, leaving no gaps or patches even in one coat.
I use no brush or lipliner. Everything is easy and does not drive me crazy.
The lipstick is fragrance-free. Only a little chemical smell if you sniff at it. It doesn’t last on my lips. I prefer lipsticks with pleasant aromas, but I’m not gonna take a star off for this.
Price: $6
The lasting power is nice but not excellent. The lipstick can’t live through a meal without a touch up.
The color: I liked the color 35 HONEYMOON the most, it is a nude with a pink undertone. In addition, the color changes depending on the different lighting.
A few swatches:
The result: The lipstick is not completely matte, you can still feel its oily formula on your lips. Therefore, the finish is more like satin. And for that I remove 1 star.
In summary: I can still recommend this lipstick, the color is nice and is easy to apply. Only the finish was not as matte as I wanted
