Recently I stocked up with some products by NYX and among them I’ve found this very cool lippie.
There are 12 ml of the contents, can you imagine?
Price: $8.50 on the official site.
Shade: I’ve got my product in the color PPL05 Teenage Dream.
The package is bright and cardboard, sealed on both sides with a sticker, which ensures a safe opening. On the box you’ll find all the product information. They also state the list of ingredients there.
Inside the box I’ve found a small plastic tube with the lipstick. The tube is matte and it’s made of a soft material. All the info is printed with black letters here. A screw top cap is also here and it is glossy. In general the product looks very stylish and rather unusual, I’d say. When I was younger I used to have a lipstick by some unknown brand and it had almost similar looking packaging.
I want to say a few more things about the packaging. I find this form of the product very convenient to use. The tube is small, compact and ergonomic in my hands. Thanks to the soft material that it’s made of, it isn’t at all difficult for me to get the product to come out of the tube. The material is thick, safe and I’m sure that it’ll never burst out and spill the contents. It’s a rather unusual form for a lipstick, isn’t it?
The applicator is also a little bit bizarre for me. When I opened the lipstick for the first time, I’ve found out that it was white and absolutely clean. It was super fluffy and cute. The applicator is very soft for my lips and it never irritates my skin.
So naturally the first use will make the applicator stained with the product forever.
I have to draw your attention to the fact that it was pretty difficult for me to get the product out for the first time. It didn’t want to come out at all. But later it was much easier and the problem disappeared.
At first the color seemed to be too bright and I thought that it won’t suit me. But after swatching the lippie, I understood that I liked the way it looked.
The lipstick is bright pink but thanks to the powder finish it gives, it doesn’t look childish, unlike many other lipsticks of the same shade.
I was absolutely raving about that powder finish. I’ve never met such a product before. The lipstick is totally fuss-free during wear. It has a weightless and very pleasant sweet scent to it. I don’t feel the formula present on my lips at all. It may apply a tad patchy and leave some uneven finish behind, but all these doo-doos can be corrected very easily. Even I do it fuss free, despite my klutzy hands. The applicator in return won’t let you outline your lips beautifully, though.
The finish of the lipstick doesn’t look dead matte. It’s powder-like, yet with a delicate and barely detectable gloss.
The product doesn’t set on my lips and it stains everything here and there.
But it doesn’t bleed or smudge all over my face. It fades over time, but it leaves some pigment behind, which looks really like a tint. It doesn’t dry out my lips or tighten them.
I’m head over heels with this NYX Powder Puff Lippie Lip Cream. I’m planning to buy some more shades from the collection to fill in my makeup stash. I guess I’d opt for some neutral and natural colors for everyday wear. I’ve already fallen for the shades SQUAD GOALS, PUPPY LOVE and BEST BUDS most of all.
