Hello my readers!

Today I’d like to tell you about my new find - NYX Total Control Drop Foundation.

All the beauty bloggers are singing praises about this product, so I also decided to buy it for myself. Since I couldn’t find it at the local drugstore, I ordered it online. I know that my complexion is pale and even dead-like, so I opted for the TCDF01 Pale. When it arrived at my doorstep, I immediately applied it and was shocked. I looked like a hungry Vampire. It wasn’t a big deal, though. I still could save the situation with the help of contouring and blush, but still the fairest color turned out to be too fair for me for the first time in my life!

Magic happens and once my friend appeared at my place with the same foundation but two shades darker than mine. So we swapped (she is even paler than I am) our foundations and were very happy.

Price: $14

Size: 13 ml

Made in: China

The product is packed in a black card box with some information on.

Inside the box there was a small matte glass bottle with a dropper.

The bottle is a massive fingerprints collector, wherein it’s impossible to wash them off Smile

The consistency is water-like. I’d even say that it’s a fluid rather than a usual foundation. In the picture below you can see how runny the product is.

The product is almost unscented.

The color is Porcelain with neutral undertones.

They recommend us to apply the product with a special brush exclusively (which costs another $14) and now I can see the reason why. Of course I haven’t bought the brush, since there’s almost no room left at my place to store brushes, and besides, I’m so much into my beautyblender.

So, I held out and experimented and now want to show you the following:

Here they are:

my sleepy pale face

NYX total control drop foundation

and The Real Techniques brush

I’m applying a couple of drops on my face (I drop it on my finger first and only after that transfer to my face. If I do it on the bush, it’ll sink in all the product)

I’m blending out with a brush and here you can see a rather good result. The left part of my face is covered with foundation, while the right one is still without.

I’m applying some foundation on the right part of my face

But here I’m blending it with a beautyblender. And what are the results? The beautyblender “ate” everything that could be eaten and left me with a sheer coverage. You can see that this coverage isn’t enough to hide my problem areas.

I made the decision to add some foundation to my right part of the face and blend out with the brush again.

And what can we see? I look like a cover girl! And I want to note that I used only this foundation, no concealer or photoshop. Smile

I am so happy with the result in the end! Then I added some powder and did my eye make-up.

This is how my face looked after an hour of wearing.

And this is after 6 hours

As you can see there’s a tad of oily shine that appeared, but the foundation is still in its place and isn’t settled in the pores, although the testing was rough as we were walking in the woods. Smile

And now the bottom line:

I really liked the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation. It gives really adjustable coverage, and at the same time it doesn’t look like a mask on my face. One more important thing is that it doesn’t settle in pores.

If you have anything to hide on your face, then it’ll be better to apply this foundation with a brush. Bear in mind that this product will do nothing with flaking, so if you have it, you’d better exfoliate and moisturize your face before this foundation application. My skin looks matte with it for 3-4 hours, then I have to use my blotting papers or powder. The product is very comfortable while wearing and it stays on for 10-12 hours. Later it starts to fade gradually.

As for spending. I don’t actually agree with manufacturers where they claim that 1-3 drops is enough to cover the entire face. That isn’t true. The product is of only 13 ml (I’m more got used to 30 ml battled foundations, though) and I guess that the product will last only for 2-3 months, not longer.

If not to become picky about the half of the usual size for the same money, then it’s a Holy Grail product in the world of beauty which unconditionally deserves 5 stars and a thumbs up!
