I look like a potato in the morning, with my puffy round face. And honestly, I feel like a potato too.

But there is a life saver. Makeup. Thank heavens for it!

Now to the NYX foundation. I didn’t like it at first, because I chose the wrong shade. I never ask my mirror ‘who is the fairest of them all?’ because I know that’s definitely not me.

Appearance:

The foundation comes in a cardboard box with the picture of the bottle on it.

On the backside there are how-to instructions which explain how many drops of the foundation you need to achieve the desired result.

When we open the box, we see a cute bottle with a pipette. Looks cool and eye-catching.

The bottle is made of transparent glass and contains only 13 ml. Not much, yep. But personally I don’t need more.

That's what the dropper looks like, so you can easily measure out the liquid foundation.

Foundation properties:

The formula is very runny. I don’t like such textures, to be honest, because they tend to melt off and settle into tiny wrinkles in the fingertips.

The finish is dry, I prefer something more dewy and at the same time matte.

If you have flaking skin, forget about this foundation. Actually I thought my skin wasn’t dry, but it was, as it turned out. The foundation made the flaking stand out. But I applied it onto the flaking-free areas.

Odorless.

I own it in 02 Alabaster, which is way too light for me.

But I found a way to use it and apply it in the under eye area in order to highlight the skin. So it works like a weightless concealer, I’d say. Usually, concealers are a bit too heavy for my skin. I prefer lighter formulas in my makeups.

In general, its blendability is pretty good. But since I chose the wrong shade, I had to blend it out for a really long time in order to make the transition smooth.

Now in action.

Let me show you my transformation from a morning potato into a chick.

Are you ready? Are you sure?

Then behold.

Step 1. I’m applying the foundation under my eyes. Now you can see what I meant when I called myself a potato.

Step 2. I’m spreading the foundation all over my face. Thanks to its liquid formula, it’s quite simple. Now I’m the fairest potato in the land.

Step 3. After that, I apply another foundation, which suits my skintone (on the nose and forehead). I’m also applying blush on my cheekbones and brows.

Step 4 is for those who want more beauty. Lately, I’ve been doing it quite rarely because I like makeups with accents on foundation and eyebrows only. But we can also draw our eyes. And voila! Nobody dares to call you potato anymore.

That’s it. I’ve revealed my secrets of how I transform from the potato into a human being. Honestly, sometimes I don’t do it at all.

Conclusion:I can recommend this foundation only for those with normal or oily skin. Girls with dry skin - don’t even reach for it. It will make even invisible dry spots stand out.

And of course you should find a shade suitable for you.

The coverage is medium.

I take one star off because of the texture but still recommend!
