I saw it and immediately fell for it! This was actually the main reason why I bought this Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow palette by Too faced: 16 stunning colors for both daytime and evening makeups, which are housed in such a fairy-tale designed compact palette.
This is the second product that I bought from the brand and now I can say it for sure that the Too Faced products’ quality is on fleek! By the way, my first product was a lip gloss, which I use so frequently that I almost used it within a month and a half. But let’s come back to the new palette.
Full name:
Chocolate Gold Eye Shadow Palette
Made in the USA
Size: the palette comprises of 16 colors: 14*0,95 g, 2 *2,2 g
Product says:
Combining two of our favourite things – gold and chocolate – this decadent eye palette is the ultimate way to take your lid looks to a new, luxurious level. Infused with real gold for true sparkle and nourishing cocoa powder, this exquisite edit will trigger a major metallic moment – the foil-effect shadows offer an unbeatably high-shine finish, paired perfectly with rich, seductive mattes. All 16 shades give velvety soft colour payoff – this is as lavish as palettes get.
Package:
The palette has fantastic design. The cardboard cover really reminds me of a chocolate bar. The color selection here is from green-ish to brown shades and I have to say that the product looks really yummy!
On the package you’ll see a lot of product info like: the names of the shades, weight, as well as lists of ingredients for each shade.
The palette looks exactly the same as its cardboard cover. The palette is pretty heavy and very beautiful. It looks like a chocolate bar, with liquid gold dripping down it.
I really would like to thank the designers of the Too Faced brand, because they always come up with fantastic designs!
The product closes and opens easy-breezy. Inside they placed a very big mirror, though there aren’t any makeup brushes provided.
There was also a small instructions list with some makeup looks to follow. All the makeups look interesting and I’m sure that I’ll try to do them myself as well.
The aroma of the shades seems to be natural. They smell like chocolate and vanilla. Each time when I open the palette, I meet this melted chocolate smell from the palette. The scent really makes the palette more pleasant to use.
By the way, a few words about the ingredients. I won’t cite all the ingredients of all 16 shades and leave here only a couple of them as an example:

The ingredients are infused not only with the cocoa powder, which actually gives such a nice pleasant smell to the palette, but there’s also gold there.
I don’t know why they have decided to infuse the product with the real gold, but I’m sure that you’ll be also interested about this fact, purchasing the palette. I guess that gold makes the shades look more sophisticated.
Texture and application:
Each shade from the palette is very soft and plain texture-wise. They are so silky that it isn’t a problem to pick them up with a brush and blend out. The shades are super packed with the pigment. In a word - they are my dream!
There are 12 metallic shades here, while only 4 colors are matte. I love all the colors from the palette and I’m not joking!
In the swatches you can see how packed with the pigment the colors are:
The staying power of the products is fantastic! I haven’t tried wearing them without an eyeshadow primer, because it’ll be rather useless. I think any eyeshadows won’t look good over some time, considering the boiling heat weather we have currently. But over an eyeshadow primer they stay on well and never travel down or crease.
I don’t wear my makeup for more than 7-8 hours and always try to wash it off towards the evening because usually I don’t go anywhere in the evening. I’m not a nerd, just don’t have anybody to look after my baby. But I have to tell you that the maximum of 8 hours these eyeshadows leave through beautifully.
Most frequently I wear 1 or maybe 2 shades at the same time on my eyes, because I prefer daytime makeup looks more. I also like using these colors as an eyeliner for my upper lids.
I can’t actually do my makeup neatly, so, please don’t be too strict. By the way, the pictures weren’t taken right after the application (because it’s just impossible with my lifestyle). I took them after a long walk with my baby. Yet still my makeup looks as though just applied.
Here I used the shades Chocolate Gold and Love and Cocoa
Here I used the shades Chocolate Gold and Love and Cocoa
Here I outlined my eyes with the color Livin Lavish and then added a little bit of the New Money over my upper lid
Here the Drippin Diamonds shade is applied all over my upper lid, I blended the outer Vs with the Cocoa Truffle and the Rich Girl is applied in the inner corner
All in all I’m pleased with the palette and of course I do recommend it for purchasing! The eyeshadows are nice to use, they smell beautifully and the application is easy. The staying power is fabulous and the shades are so bright! The metallic colors seem to be specially created for summer. You can wear them solo, or combine together. Use your fantasy or follow the instructions on the makeup looks provided.
