I’m among those people who don’t use bronzing powders. Or maybe I’m the only one, I don’t know.
This is all because of my fair complexion, which, I used to think would look red or too dark with a bronzer on.
But lately, I changed my mind when I discovered this Too Faced Chocolate Gold Soleil Bronzer in the shade Luminous.
Even though the shade might appear rather dark, I still keep on using it. I just always apply a little.

Yes, GOLD, it is really mentioned in the ingredients list.
Mica, Polyethylene, Talc, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Dimethicone, Sodium Saccharin, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Fragrance/Parfum, Aluminum Dimyristate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Fruit Powder/Theobroma Cacao Fruit Powder, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Gold, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742).
I also highlighted Titanium Dioxide there, because it’s a physical filter which is to protect our skin from UV rays. But, since it’s listed among the last components, I wouldn’t rely on this one alone.
The compact with the bronzer looks posh! It’s done in the golden-brown color with a mirrored surface and a heart closure.
At first, it was an issue for me to open the compact. You see, the rim of the casing is a thin heart, which is rather small and I couldn’t open it for some time. But now I’ve already gotten used to it and open it easy-breezy.
Inside the compact, you’ll find a chocolate powder with a golden trim ring.
The mirrored lid opens up 180 degrees. The image is hard and blur-free.
••★ Shade and Texture ★•
My shade of the powder is called Luminous and it’s a light chocolate color, which is more like coffee with milk to be precise + gold of course.
The texture renders an abundance of shimmer particles.
The color is nicely packed with pigment and it applies on my skin with a chocolate-golden shade. The bronzer doesn’t look red.
As you can see, the shimmer isn’t detectable and it only makes the color glow from within, adding some beaming shine.
By the daytime lights, the product even looks matte.
By the sunlight, one will easily see that golden glow, but if he/she will look straight at it, the coverage will still appear matte.

The powder is silky texture-wise. And the shimmer in the formula isn’t detectable at all. The powder is jet-milled that’s why it’s so easy to blend out.
••★ Aroma ★••
This is the first time when I can see such a perfumed powder which smells like real chocolate.
If I tell you that I like this smell, it’ll mean that I say nothing. This aroma makes me smile and sniff it again and again.
So sweet, intense and I can feel it even when the compact is closed.
••★ Use ★••
This is actually the reason why I have to use only the tiniest bit of it. I apply the product with a brush, using the lightest hand, after that, I buff off overabundance and only then apply the product on my skin.
Of course, a lighter shade of the bronzer would be more flattering for my skin tone, but I was presented with this one and didn’t have a chance to choose.
As I’ve already mentioned above, the bronzer is fuss-free blending-wise. It applies over my skin with a thin layer, which can be a built up if needed for the desired color payoff.

Thanks to this Too Faced Chocolate Gold Soleil bronzing powder I don’t look pale anymore and still my complexion looks rather harmonious.
The quality of this bronzer is dope. It’s always such a pleasure to use it.
