As an eyeshadow maniac, I’m so happy that nowadays we have countless eyeshadows available in the market!
In this review I’ll be describing another beautiful palette, namely the Too Faced Sweet Peach.
The palette is very attractive, with a magnet latch and beautiful color of the packaging itself. It opens and closes easily yet tightly. No brush comes with it, but I don’t need any.
There is a mirror, but it’s too little and inconvenient to be used in the makeup process.
About the scent: the palette smells of peaches, without any chemical notes. I totally love this scent! In the first evening after I purchased it I just sat there and sniffed it, and it was awesome, especially for maniacs like me!
Now about the colors this palette features: there are 18 warm shades, both satin and matte ones, plus dark eyeshadows.
Swatches (the first row)
The first row is designed to highlight the area under the eyebrows, all the shades are light: Nectar (satin), White Peach and Peaches 'n Cream (matte). Nectar (golden-white) is my favorite color in the palette, it’s incredibly soft and silky, easy to apply and blend out. Simply gorgeous.
The second row includes two satin shades: Luscious (pearl peach champagne) and Cobbler, plus one matte color Georgia (matte pink). All the shades are awesome and of great quality.
The third row is really cool too, there are two satin colors Just Peachy and Caramelized, and one matte with shimmers, Candied Peach. These shades are among my faves too.
The fourth row is quite good too, with two satin shades Bless Her Heart (olive) and Bellini (gilded peach), and one matte shade Puree (warm caramel)
The fifth row is getting darker and more problematic. The darkest shade Tempting is the worst. It’s hard to work with it, it falls out and its color payoff is very low. Plus, the formula of this eyeshadow is quite weird: it consists of tiny grains which aren’t visible on your face as it falls out, but once you start removing them with micellar water, your face turns black! It’s hard to remove the eyeshadow and hard to blend it, and I was swearing when I tried to apply it dry!
It’s a terrible refill, definitely not for makeup beginners! This eyeshadow can be only applied wet.
All the other shades (Peach Pit and Summer Yum) have a great blendability and are very soft.
The last row features a great cold matte brown (Charmed, I’m sure) and two dark shades Delectable (violet) and Talk Derby To Me (dark violet with shimmer).
Well, these dark shades are less blendable, I’d say, but much better than the shade Tempting. They can be used to create a smooth transition:
All the swatches:
The palette includes mostly warm colors. If you are on the lookout for cold ones, it’s definitely not for you. There is only one cold color: Charmed, I’m sure.
I wish there were a black matte color and a pearly highlighter in this palette!
All the shades are incredible (except the dark ones), super soft and gliding, and they blend easily. Even a newbie will be able to create a gorgeous makeup with them! But I don’t especially like the formula of the dark refills.
There is a little lookbook that comes with the palette and includes three makeups.
But of course you can create more with these colors!
For the review purposes I decided to repeat those three.
Makeup 1. The simplest and quickest one.
This makeup takes about two minutes and is really simple. Plus, all the shades are of great quality, which eases the task too.
This is what I got:
Since the shade Delectable is used in this makeup, it takes more time.
And the third option - Kill me please - is made with the dark-grey refill
And that’s what i created
This makeup option is definitely not to be made in haste, because the shade Tempting falls off. Prepare to clean your face afterwards.
What more can I say about this palette? I’m in love with all the shades except Tempting, Delectable and Talk Derby To Me. The other shades are simply fantastic. 15 refills with amazing quality and great blendability. And the scent is lovely! It’s such a yummy and sweet palette!
I’d recommend you to buy it! I’m sure you’ll be crazy about it too!
