I want to share my opinion about the Avène Thermal Spring Water.
I have the bottle of 300 ml, which cost me about $18.
The bottle itself is very convenient to use. The design is usual in the Avene’s style. There was also an instruction manual with the bottle.
Initially the bottle was sealed with a transparent plastic film.
The spray is very convenient and sound.
What exactly is thermal water?
Thermal water comes from hot springs. The water in these hot springs come from deep in the ground, where it’s heated by geothermal activity.
This key element is in all Avène skin care products and regimens. Its efficacy is clinically shown to soothe, soften and calm the skin.
There are a lot of minerals in the ingredients:
Consistency-wise this thermal water is the same as usual water. It doesn’t have any scent or taste. The spray works well and applies the water very evenly with tiny drops without smudging my make-up.

- sunburn
- diaper rash
- to complete make-up removal
- razor burn
- after exercise
- after hair removal
- during travel
My experience of use:
Every winter my skin becomes very dehydrated. Hence I have flaking, irritated, and really sensitive skin! Even in the summer I can clearly see that my skin is tightened in the area of smile lines which is proof of dehydration. So, this very winter I decided to change everything and try my best not to let the discomforting feelings win. From that moment on, the nourishing and hydrating creams, masks and thermal waters are my best friends.
What is so good about this product? I’ll answer short. Everything. Straight after I spray some water on my face, my skin becomes really hydrated! Usually I spritz my face with it after face cleansing to neutralize the hard water and to nourish my skin with wholesome ingredients and minerals.
After the spritz, my skin calms down, irritation and tightening feelings quickly disappear. I feel like my skin wakes up! In 10 seconds I start to apply my moisturizing cream. By the way, since my skin is still wet, the cream glides and applies perfectly well. It’s especially important if you use thick nourishing creams.
During the day I spray some water on my face even if I wear make-up! It doesn’t make my make-up move at all. On the contrary, I think that it sets it even better.
I also used this product after hair removal and the result was just amazing! All the irritations disappeared within seconds! Since my bottle is 300 ml (the biggest in the collection), it isn’t very convenient to pack up with me. For the bottle to be permanently in my purse or handbag, I would have to order one of a smaller size.
Generalizing I want to say that thermal water is an extremely useful thing for any skin type. It’s just an irreplaceable magic wand for sensitive and irritated skin!
I can clearly see and feel the result on my face after using this product. My skin becomes better, there are no tightening feelings and I’ve already forgotten how the flaking was.
